Woman who famously flipped off Trump motorcade, and was fired, now running for office.

Not all heroes wear a cape.

Courtesy of WaPo:

Juli Briskman, the cyclist who flashed her middle finger at President Trump’s motorcade — and lost her job at a government contracting firm as a result — is parlaying an act of resistance into a run for local office in Northern Virginia.

The 51-year-old marketing executive said this week she will file the paperwork to challenge Suzanne M. Volpe, a Republican who represents the Algonkian District on the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors in 2019.

The county reliably votes for Democrats at the state and federal level, but Republicans maintain control of the board, 6 to 3, and Republicans have represented the county in Congress for nearly 40 years.

Democrats hope voter hostility toward Trump, combined with a recent population boom and demographic changes, will help them oust Rep. Barbara Comstock (R) in November and turn the Board of Supervisors blue in 2019 county elections.

Briskman said she didn’t consider seeking public office until last October, when she was forced out of her government contracting job for, as she sees it, exercising her First Amendment rights.

I have no idea if this Briskman will win this election but if she does more power to her.

I actually think she should use that photo at the top as her campaign flyer.

Hell if just hating Donald Trump is key to winning elections I should throw my hat in the ring for Anchorage Assembly or something.

I used to think that my strong opinions, written for all of the world to see, would make running for office impossible, but clearly, this is a new day in America.

Because you know, flipping off the motorcade automatically makes one qualified to run for office in the new Democtratic Party universe lol.

“Hell if just hating Donald Trump is key to winning elections I should throw my hat in the ring for Anchorage Assembly or something. ”

Hahahahaa. This ideology (strategy?) is the stupidest thing democrats are hanging their hats on, right behind attempting to stick Hillary down the throats of the Electorate, and the insanely stupid idea that communists like Cortez are going to provide free college tuition to everyone…. Exactly how well did simply hating on Trump work out in 2016?

OT “Six people lost their lives in a very short period of time. This is highly unusual. This is the NEW NORMAL, if you look across the country, these types of shootings.”

Yesterday I had a quintessential journalism experience: I was laid off. There is no longer a Washington Bureau for the Anchorage Daily News. It was me. Now it’s not.

    OT-FYI>https://www.politicususa.com/2018/09/13/brett-kavanaugh-federal-investigation-dianne-feinstein.html

“I have received information from an individual concerning the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court. That individual strongly requested confidentiality, declined to come forward or press the matter further, and I have honored that decision. I have, however, referred the matter to federal investigative authorities.”
“the matter in question is an incident that happened between Kavanaugh and a woman when he was in high school, “Different sources provided different accounts of the contents of the letter, and some of the sources said they themselves had heard different versions, but the one consistent theme was that it describes an incident involving Kavanaugh and a woman while they were in high school. Kept hidden, the letter is beginning to take on a life of its own…..The woman who is the subject of the letter is now being represented by Debra Katz, a whistleblower attorney who works with #MeToo survivors. Joseph Abboud, an attorney at Katz’s firm, said that the firm was declining to comment.”
” it appears that there a potential sexual misconduct/potential crime involving Trump’s Supreme Court nominee. Sen. Feinstein chose her words carefully, and she has honored the wishes of the woman involved in the incident by not making the letter public.

It is clear now why Republicans are trying to speed the Kavanaugh nomination through to confirmation. Brett Kavanaugh has some potentially very dark skeletons in his closet”

What Bill Maher said. Democrats need to stop being polite pussies. They need to get down and dirty, more so than the Republicans because you don’t win elections by being the nice guide. Diane Feinstein was stupid to sit on that Kavanaugh letter for as long as she did. Waaaay too late now. Kavanaugh is a done deal. Probably nothing would have stopped it any way but the earlier this stuff comes up the longer the public has to make the point to the Deplorables that this is not acceptable and if they continue there will be negative repercussions in November. Of course, I think they know this. Even Bitch McConnell has admitted as much in public. No excuse for cramming this through asap. And EFF the Democrats for approving those 15 judges so they could have a long campaign weekend. Really? That’s your priority? Well, mine is to not vote for any self-serving ineffectual FINK (and yes I know what that means) even if they have a D by their name.

The Democrats could have been screaming about why Kavanaugh should get due process when Al Franken didn’t except for one thing. It’s the Democrats that forced Al Franken to resign, not the Republicans. The Republicans are NOT going to pressure Kavanaugh to withdraw his nomination. And he won’t. Because he knows no matter what the Republicans are going to confirm him. Even if they find that dead body buried in his back yard, he’ll still be confirmed. There could be video of a rape and he’ll still get confirmed.

As Bill Maher said, the Democrats need to stop being so politically correct and learn to play even dirtier. They also need to learn to work en masse as a single unit rather than having DINOS like Manchin and the others vote with the Republicans. There seems to be a lot of that going around, especially in New York State. But….not any more.
