Some of Trump’s tweets written by White House staff, grammatical errors and all.

The hallmark of President Trump’s Twitter feed is that it sounds like him — grammatical miscues and all.

But it’s not always Trump tapping out a Tweet, even when it sounds like his voice. West Wing employees who draft proposed tweets intentionally employ suspect grammar and staccato syntax in order to mimic the president’s style, according to two people familiar with the process.

They overuse the exclamation point! They Capitalize random words for emphasis. Fragments. Loosely connected ideas. All part of a process that is not as spontaneous as Trump’s Twitter feed often appears.

Presidential speechwriters have always sought to channel their bosses’ style and cadence, but Trump’s team is blazing new ground with its approach to his favorite means of instant communication. Some staff members even relish the scoldings Trump gets from elites shocked by the Trumpian language they strive to imitate, believing that debates over presidential typos fortify the belief within his base that he has the common touch.

His staff has become so adept at replicating Trump’s tone that people who follow his feed closely say it is getting harder to discern which tweets were actually crafted by Trump sitting in his bathrobe and watching “Fox & Friends” and which were concocted by his communications team.

I am literally gobsmacked by this news.

You know in times past White House staffers would most likely have tried to make the president sound more intelligent and literate.

But stupidity is essentially Trump’s “brand” so now it has affected all those who enter his orbit.

He really does make the country dumber every single day, doesn’t he?

    I call Bullshit.
They are trying to cover for him and the fact that they can’t control him.

“Facts matter. The FBI’s use of Confidential Human Sources (the actual term) is tightly regulated and essential to protecting the country. Attacks on the FBI and lying about its work will do lasting damage to our country. How will Republicans explain this to their grandchildren?

“Tomorrow John Kelly will join Devin Nunes and Trey Gowdy for a tea party briefing on Trump-Russia evidence from the DOJ with FBI Director Christopher Wray and DNI Director Dan Coats. The meeting won’t include any Democrats because nobody asked them.”

“Former Dallas County sheriff Lupe Valdez secured the Democratic nomination for governor in Texas, making her the first Latina AND openly gay gubernatorial candidate to win major party nomination in the great state of Texas. After securing her win last night Lupez commented, “I am constantly hearing this is going to be such an uphill battle. Please, tell me when I didn’t have an uphill battle.”

“There’s just one problem — that’s not at all what Clapper said.”
““They were spying on, a term I don’t particularly like, but on what the Russians were doing,” Clapper said. “Trying to understand were the Russians infiltrating, trying to gain access, trying to gain leverage or influence which is what they do.”

Behar responded by asking Clapper, “Well, why doesn’t he like that? He should be happy.”

      “He should be,”

He must be worried that he has indicted himself and obstructed justice several times, so they want to pretend he isn’t writing the tweets.

Too bad,it is his account, his responsibility.

Is this the lie he told Melanomia when he spelled her name wrong?

“On the surface it appears that Donald Trump is winning. He has a unique ability to dominate news cycles and absorb all of the media’s attention through his brash public statements and his tweet storms.

What Trump has said and done since the story was published about an FBI informant in his presidential campaign is totally outrageous.” “below the surface, Donald Trump is losing, and he knows it. “below the surface, Donald Trump is losing, and he knows it.”
“Michael Cohen’s business partner flipped on him.
Both Rachel Maddow and Michael Avenatti predicted that Cohen will soon turn state’s evidence and start providing testimony against Trump.
Paul Manafort’s former son-in-law flipped on him several days ago, putting more pressure on him to also flip on Trump. Since Manafort’s right-hand-man Rick Gates already flipped and is working with Mueller, the pressure on Manafort to flip on Trump is getting very intense.
Roger Stone on Sunday confirmed that he expects to be indicted and arrested soon, which means Mueller will soon be trying to negotiate a deal where Stone would testify against Trump in exchange for reduced criminal charges. Nobody expects Stone to hang tough against Mueller and be a stand up guy. Instead, they are predicting Stone will give in quickly to Mueller in order to save himself.”
“Plea deals are negotiated in private, and what happens in public doesn’t matter. The way mafia kingpins fall is by the testimony of the people under them who they thought they could trust.”

I would still like to know when willfully stupid became an attribute.
