Trump Twitter attacks Mueller investigation while suggesting that his Attorney General is scared stiff and MIA.

(By the way, before we go on it needs to be pointed out that the Christopher Steele memo has NOT been discredited, and that nothing in it has, as of yet, been disproven.)

Courtesy of CNN:

The attack on the attorney general came as Trump claimed the news media “refuses to report” on meetings held between Christopher Steele, the ex-British intelligence officer who authored an opposition research dossier on Trump, and former Associate Deputy Attorney General Bruce Ohr.

Ohr was demoted from his position in the deputy attorney general’s office after the discovery of certain meetings he held with Steele and the head of the opposition research firm that hired him to compile the dossier, Fusion GPS founder Glenn Simpson, CNN reported last year, citing a source familiar with the matter. Ohr’s wife, Nellie Ohr, worked for Fusion GPS doing research and analysis on Trump, Simpson has disclosed.

Bruce and Nellie Ohr are mentioned in a controversial and disputed memo from House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes, a California Republican and top Trump ally in Congress, that alleged FBI surveillance authority abuse.

The Nunes memo, released in February, argues that information from Bruce Ohr, including that his wife was employed by Fusion GPS, should have been disclosed to the US Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court.

However, as we all know Nunes is Trump’s lapdog and his memo was riddled with inaccuracies and misrepresentations of the facts.

Which Rep. Adam Schiff made clear with his own Democratic House Intelligence Committee rebuttal memo:

“The Majority describes Bruce Ohr as a senior DOJ official who ‘worked closely with the Deputy Attorneys General, (Obama appointee Sally) Yates and later (Trump appointee Rod) Rosenstein,’ in order to imply that Ohr was somehow involved in the FISA process, but there is no indication this is the case,” the Schiff memo states.

Of course, the problem with all of this is that it turns into a “he said, he said” scenario where everybody simply chooses which side to believe.

And that is the direct result of the Right Wing’s decades-long attack on facts in this country.

Unfortunately, Trump’s tweets are seen by a large, and even international audience, which means it is always vitally important for news outlets, websites, and blogs to call out the lies at every opportunity.

Trump is using branding to undermine and sabotage the upcoming Mueller report, in the hopes that by the time it sees the light of day a significant segment of the country will discount it completely.

All we have on our side is the truth.

Among other looney aspects of Don the Con’s morning hysteria today (he’s still on vacation, isn’t he?) the worst is that he seems to think that the Attorney General of the United States is his personal lawyer. To paraphrase St. Thomas Aquinas, what Don the Con does know about the federal government wouldn’t fit on the end of a pin.

He also seems be under the impression that he owns OUR government and military too.

$O This. ‘”What are they hiding?” the president asked, threatening that he “may have to get involved” personally in internal FBI business and warning, “DO NOT DESTROY.”‘
“As rain dumped on his golf club, President Donald Trump raged on Saturday, lashing out at his Justice Department on Twitter before welcoming members of a “Bikers for Trump” fan group to the manicured grounds.” ” But pouring rain and flash-flood warnings scrambled the plan, sending soggy bikers inside a crystal-chandeliered clubhouse ballroom, where Trump signed autographs and posed for selfies and his guests booed reporters.” “Four more years!” and “USA!” “He quickly pointed out the sopping-wet media, which sparked jeers and calls to “tell the truth.” And he thanked the group, saying they’d been with him since the beginning and calling their motorcycles “the most beautiful bikes anyone’s ever seen.””The president largely ignored reporters’ shouted questions, except for one about former White House adviser and reality star Omarosa Manigault Newman and her new book, which includes scandalous — and often unsupported — accusations against Trump.

The president leaned over and cupped his hand around his mouth as if to whisper.

“Lowlife. She’s a lowlife,” “Build the wall!” “when the rain had eased, Trump walked outside the residence, where the bikers had gathered with their motorcycles on the drive. He posed for more pictures, stood for the Pledge of Allegiance and urged the bikers to rev their engines.

“Let’s hear those engines now,” he called out, gesturing for them to go louder as the motors roared.” Trump branded them all “clowns and losers”–politics.html

Watch: Rudy Giuliani gets busted lying about Trump and James Comey

Rudy Giuliani lied on air, and CNN’s Jake Tapper had the video to prove it.

Rudy Giuliani tried to defend Trump on TV this weekend — but only succeeded in getting caught lying during a live interview on Sunday’s edition of CNN’s “State of the Union.”

Giuliani told host Jake Tapper that “there was no conversation about Michael Flynn” between Trump and former FBI director James Comey.

This was a dramatic departure from what Giuliani and Trump’s legal team have argued for months — and Tapper had the video to prove it.

“But Mr. Mayor, you told ABC News last month that [Trump] told Comey, quote, ‘Can you give him a break?’” Tapper pointed out. “Now you’re saying that they never had — ”

“I never — I never told ABC that, that’s crazy,” Giuliani interrupted. “I mean, I never said that. What I said was, that is what Comey is saying Trump said. I have always said the president denies it.”

…“And you’re also saying that a month ago, you didn’t tell ABC News that he said something along the lines of ‘Can you give him a break?’” Tapper asked.

“No, I did not,” Giuliani replied.

Then Tapper played a clip of Giuliani saying exactly that.

“On Sunday, Graham appeared on Fox News Sunday where he said, “These [FBI] investigations against Trump were corrupt to the core. They gave Clinton a pass, and we need a special counsel to look at all things at the Department of Justice and FBI when it came to the Trump investigation, particularly the counterintelligence investigation.”

“Lindsey Graham, talk about confusing, he confuses me,” ““We have tracked all of those financial ties and there’s pretty good chance that either voluntarily or involuntarily Senator Graham has gotten mixed up in the situation and cannot be an objective observer,” ”

Authoritarianism expert hints Lindsey Graham may be covering for Trump due to the 2016 Russian hacking of his own emails

…“I can offer some theories. Lindsey Graham was one of the people who called for the investigation of the Trump campaign’s ties to the Kremlin,” Kendzior began. “He did that all the way back in 2016 before Trump was inaugurated. He has then done a complete 180. He’s been supporting Trump, he’s been covering for Trump.”

“There are a few things we should remember, ” she advised. “The RNC was hacked; no one knows what happened to those emails. Lindsey Graham personally was hacked and nobody knows who has those emails. The RNC is complicit financially and politically and broadly in what the Trump campaign has done in terms of illicit interactions with Russia.”

“We have tracked all of those financial ties and there’s pretty good chance that either voluntarily or involuntarily Senator Graham has gotten mixed up in the situation and cannot be an objective observer,” she explained. “I find that sad because in the past he has asked for a nonpartisan look at what Trump has done. He stood up against corruption and he should go back to that.”

Three out of ten House of Representatives candidates vulnerable to hacks: cybersecurity experts

Three of every 10 candidates running for the U.S. House of Representatives have significant security problems with their websites, according to a new study by independent researchers that underscores the threat hackers pose to the November elections.

The research was due to be unveiled on Sunday at the annual Def Con security conference in Las Vegas, where some attendees have spent three days hacking into voting machines to highlight vulnerabilities in technology running polling operations.

A team of four independent researchers led by former National Institutes for Standards and Technology security expert Joshua Franklin concluded that the websites of nearly one-third of U.S. House candidates, Democrats and Republicans alike, are vulnerable to attacks. NIST is a U.S. Commerce Department laboratory that provides advice on technical issues, including cyber security.

Using automated scans and test programs, the team identified multiple vulnerabilities, including problems with digital certificates used to verify secure connections with users, Franklin told Reuters ahead of the presentation.

Why does Twitter give this Trump guy the time of the day? They must love the ratings. It’s maddening what people will do to boost themselves even if it’s letting the mad hatter president spew bullshit every fucking single day. I don’t respect twitter and hope they pay for airing Trump’s nastiness.
