There is, of course, no evidence to support this.

However giving Trump the benefit of the doubt (Always a dicey proposition) I am going to suggest that he thinks that the interference will take the form of new indictments, and possibly more information about the state of the investigation leaked to the press.

And that might very well happen, though it should be pointed out that so far all of the leaks have been attributed to those not directly working for Rober Mueller.

That, of course, does not count as actual interference, as that would simply be Robert Mueller doing his job.

As it turned out this might have been Trump’s most restrained tweet of the morning, after that they really went off the rails.

Trump then tried to convince all of us that he was much too busy with the important job of running the country to be bothering with all of this.

And that lasted just about two hours.

Good, God! The abject panic is literally dripping off of these tweets.

I swear someday these tweets will be used in psychology classes as a tool for illustrating a psychotic break via social media.

Russia tries to help Trump by repeating his attacks on Mueller probe

Trump can always count on the Russia to have his back.

On Tuesday, Russian officials did their best to repeat White House talking points about how special counsel Robert Mueller’s probe is a waste of time and money.

“The Kremlin said on Tuesday that U.S. Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into alleged Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election and other related crimes would end one day, describing it as pointless,” Reuters reports.

“In Russian, it’s called passing water through a sieve,” said Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, using an expression that means flogging a dead horse. “That’s exactly what the process looks like.”

Once again, the White House and the Kremlin appear to be on the exact same page with regard to a domestic, American political scandal — both insist the investigation is pointless.

But that completely ignores the many indictments his team has handed down, as well as several guilty pleas.

Donald Trump only behaves like this – attacking Hillary and Obama, repeating the same phrases over and over – when he’s desperate to create a distraction from whatever he knows is about to surface. So what is it this time?
