The NRA claims it is running out of money and might not be able to “pursue its advocacy mission.”

Let’s not all cry at once.

The National Rifle Association warns that it is in grave financial jeopardy, according to a recent court filing obtained by Rolling Stone, and that it could soon “be unable to exist… or pursue its advocacy mission.”

The reason, according to the NRA filing, is not its deep entanglement with alleged Russian agents like Maria Butina. Instead, the gun group has been suing New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo and the state’s financial regulators since May, claiming the NRA has been subject to a state-led “blacklisting campaign” that has inflicted “tens of millions of dollars in damages.”

In the new document — an amended complaint filed in U.S. District Court in late July — the NRA says it cannot access financial services essential to its operations and is facing “irrecoverable loss and irreparable harm.”

Specifically, the NRA warns that it has lost insurance coverage — endangering day-to-day operations. “Insurance coverage is necessary for the NRA to continue its existence,” the complaint reads. Without general liability coverage, it adds, the “NRA cannot maintain its physical premises, convene off-site meetings and events, operate educational programs … or hold rallies, conventions and assemblies.”

The complaint says the NRA’s video streaming service and magazines may soon shut down.

“The NRA’s inability to obtain insurance in connection with media liability raises risks that are especially acute; if insurers remain afraid to transact with the NRA, there is a substantial risk that NRATV will be forced to cease operating.” The group also warns it “could be forced to cease circulation of various print publications and magazines.”

I am really really trying to feel bad about this.

It’s not working.

Boy, I bet they wish they had Hillary Clinton in the White House so that they could get their idiot members all riled up about the possibility of having their guns taken away.

As long as they feel safe that their guy is in the White House they do not feel the need to donate money to the NRA.

And to think that they donated the most money ever to get him there.

Something is a little suspicious. My understanding is that a majority of NRA operating funds come from gun and ammo manufacturers. Is the NRA saying that these companies will let the NRA cease to exist? To me, it looks like this filing is just a legal maneuver to show the court how NY is punishing them. Sure, maybe NRATV will close, but the whole organization? I doubt it. But I hope it does close down.

Malcolm Nance Doesn’t Hold Back: Trump Is A Kremlin Agent Covering For Russia

Counterterrorism expert Malcolm Nance didn’t hold back on Saturday, saying plainly that Donald Trump was put in the White House by Russia and now he’s essentially an agent of the Kremlin.

In a panel discussion on AM Joy, Nance said Russia will never be deterred from carrying out cyber attacks against U.S. election as long as Trump is in charge.

“They now have a working partner in the President of the United States,” he said. “Whatever [Trump’s] oath is sworn to, it is not sworn to the Constitution of the United States.”

‘I Hope You Get Raped and Killed:’ Tur Reveals Trump-Inspired Hate Mail

In an emotional segment on Friday MSNBC host Katy Tur shared with viewers some of the details of the violent and hate-filled comments she has received that she believes have been instigated by President Donald Trump’s inflammatory anti-media rhetoric. “Either the president doesn’t get the problem, or he doesn’t care,” Tur said.

    Then she added:

“Sadly, the harassment and threats are not stopping. Journalists get them every day. We’ve been getting them since the campaign when then-candidate Trump urged the crowd to yell and scream at us. But what you saw and still see on TV, those boos and those taunts, are only part of it. What you do not see are the nasty letters, or packages, or emails.”

“You do not see the threats of physical violence. ‘I hope you get raped and killed,’ one person wrote to me just this week. ‘Raped and killed.’ Not just me, but a couple of my female colleagues as well.”

“And in case you want to argue that this has nothing to do with the president, the most recent note I got ended with ‘MAGA.’ So if anyone in the administration cares about the safety and security of journalists, the health of a free and unintimidated press, and by extension, our democracy as a whole, please say something to your boss, to your dad, to your commander-in-chief, before it is too late. Obviously, I’m not talking to you, Sarah Huckabee Sanders. You made it clear where you stand yesterday.”

On Thursday, White House press secretary Sanders was asked if she also believes the media is the “enemy of the people,” as Trump has said, and she refused to contradict the president on this very important point.
