Also threatens to pardon himself.

The president’s lawyer Rudy Giuliani threatened a legal battle with special counsel Robert Mueller if he attempts to subpoena Donald Trump.

“If Mueller tries to subpoena us, we’re going to court,” Giuliani told ABC News.

His latest comments come on the heels of the publication of a 20-page confidential letter sent by Trump’s lawyers to Mueller arguing that the president cannot legally obstruct justice in the Russia investigation due to his position as “chief law enforcement officer.”

“It remains our position that the President’s actions here, by virtue of his position as the chief law enforcement officer, could neither constitutionally nor legally constitute obstruction because that would amount to him obstructing himself, and that he could if he wished, terminate the inquiry, or even exercise his power to pardon if he so desired,” reads the letter dated Jan. 29, which was first obtained and reported by The New York Times.

Although Giuliani was not on the legal team at the time of the letter, he confirmed the contents of the letter to ABC News and said it was delivered to the special counsel in January.

I would think that knowing how much information Mueller has on Trump and his campaign they would want to avoid a public court battle.

Seems clear that the only good reason to fight this in court is to slow the process down because they know in the end they will lose.

But according to Giuliani that will not be a problem either, because Trump can just pardon himself.

On a similar note, Trump just today accused our law enforcement officials of using “Stormtrooper tactics.”

That’s right kids, your own president just conflated American law enforcement with black booted Nazi thugs.

Trump didn’t get notified by FBI/DOJ because he is a subject or target of the investigation

…Trump thinks that he is entitled to know when federal law enforcement is investigating him, which is something that every subject or target would love to have. It would be much easier to avoid getting caught if criminals knew in advance that they were under investigation. The president’s tantrum wasn’t about Manafort. What Trump is really raging about is the idea that he has no idea what’s going on with the Mueller investigation. The need to dig up information is why he made up “Spygate.”

It is much easier to destroy evidence and cover one’s tracks when they know that the feds are investigating. Trump is caught up in something that he can’t buy, lie, or destroy evidence to get out of.

Trump’s caught, which is why he is throwing people overboard and making up fake conspiracies to poison the jury of public opinion on impeachment.

Stormy Daniels’ Lawyer Tells Rudy To Keep Talking As He Digs Trump In Deeper

‘This is why I love it every time Mr. Giuliani speaks. He just acknowledged that BEFORE he joined Mr. Trump’s team on Apr. 19, Trump was aware of the repayment to Cohen and lied about it. Rudy: under the law that’s called an “admission” and it’s very damaging. Pls keep talking.’

Rudy Giuliani Just Got Trump To Impeach Himself

…A pardon is an admission of guilt

The reason why Giuliani’s belief that Trump can pardon himself is akin to self-impeachment is that a pardon has to come with an admission of guilt. If Trump pardons himself, he is admitting that he is guilty. A pardon would only spare Trump from federal prosecution, but with a self-admission of guilt, there would be nothing stopping Congress from impeaching him. A pardon does not stop the impeachment process, so that is what Bharara meant by calling a presidential pardon of himself self-impeachment.

‘This is some Nazi flip-the-script sh*t going on’: Trump mocked for quoting NRA TV host’s false claims on ‘Fox & Friends’

Trump kicked his weekend off by watching “Fox & Friends,” then tweeting quotes from an NRA TV host who had a meltdown on the Fox News morning show.

Here’s a portion of what the NRA’s Dan Bongino, who has a history of spewing lies and foul language, set Trump off and inspired him to tweet:

The week Trump went full dictator and no one tried to stop him

…But when President Donald J. Trump (as our leader likes to casually refer to himself) does it, it’s pretty far down the weekly list of rule-breaking, “norm”-shattering, dignity-obliteration, truth-abolition and assorted misdemeanors and occasional high crimes that have not only defined America’s 45th presidency, but have flooded the system and short-circuited the ability of our institutions such as the media, Congress and the courts to process it all in real time.

…The main reason that Trump violates long-standing norms and established rules, or tells so many easily disprovable lies from the presidential podium, is because he knows that no one will stop him. And that exercise of unchallenged power isn’t just a weird quirk of the Trump presidency. It is, rather, its driving force.

    REDRUM on 5th:

“Giuliani said impeachment was the initial remedy for a president’s illegal behavior ― even in the extreme hypothetical case of Trump having shot former FBI Director James Comey to end the Russia investigation rather than just firing him.

“If he shot James Comey, he’d be impeached the next day,” Giuliani said. “Impeach him, and then you can do whatever you want to do to him.””rump legal team is arguing that Trump can’t be indicted for anything, one suspects that one of their darkest fears is the possibility that President Of The United States will be indicted.”

No one mourns the do nothing Republican party because what’s in its’ place is the cherry on top. Trump is the reincarnation modern day Hitler. And everyone that is on the right are smiling ear to ear to see things they only imagined doing and saying being done now. And it gets worst because no one is calling the orange one on any of this. America. The loud mouthed country that said it could but went impotent when Donald came on board. Hate, rage, and deplorable behavior is the order of this era. Unfortunately, brown people are going to feel the full brunt of this administration’s greed, and aggressiveness.
