Interesting plot twist.

Investigators in special counsel Robert S. Mueller III’s office have notified an attorney for Kristin Davis, who gained notoriety in the 2000s for running a high-end prostitution ring, that they intend to question her as part of their probe of Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election, Davis said Friday.

Davis, who is known as the “Manhattan Madam,” said she expects to be asked about her close friend, Roger Stone, a political operative and longtime confidant of President Trump. It comes one week after prosecutors unveiled an indictment of 12 Russian intelligence officers who allegedly conspired to hack Democrats during the campaign.

Stone was not named in the indictment, but messages cited by prosecutors match communications that he says he had with the Twitter persona Guccifer 2.0, who had claimed online to be a Romanian hacker.

Prosecutors say Guccifer was actually a Twitter account operated by Russian intelligence officers.

According to CNN Davis did “clerical and website work for Stone,” which could be euphemisms for something dirty or the actual reason that Mueller is interested in what she knows.

If she kept tabs on his books, she might know about payments that Stone does not really want to be shared with the Special Counsel.

And if she worked on his website she might be privy to communications he had with certain unsavory folks in a certain country that hacked a bunch of American computers.

Either way, I have a feeling this is going to be a very interesting spinoff from the regular programming.

I just don’t want to hear about any sex that Roger Stone had with….well anybody.

They can just leave all of that out as far as I’m concerned.

    What’s next?

Mueller will be looking into who has been hanging with the hookers in the ANC?

Will he be checking into who has been getting their gherkin slurped in Spenard?

“Heck, all they had to do was ask me or ask Todd himself, ‘Hey Todd, you been hanging out with hookers in Anchorage?’ and he’d tell the truth,” Palin said.

OT “the Russian government’s efforts are being coordinated with Page and perhaps other individuals associated with” Mr. Trump’s campaign; and that Mr. Page “has been collaborating and conspiring with the Russian government.”

The spectacle of the release was itself also noteworthy, given that wiretapping under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, or FISA, is normally one of the government’s closest-guarded secrets. No such application materials had apparently become public in the 40 years since Congress enacted that law to regulate the interception of phone calls and other communications on domestic soil in search of spies and terrorists, as opposed to wiretapping for ordinary criminal investigations.

The fight over the surveillance of Mr. Page centered on the fact that the F.B.I., in making the case to judges that he might be a Russian agent, had used some claims drawn from a notorious Democratic-funded dossier compiled by Christopher Steele, a former British intelligence agent. The application cited claims from the dossier about a meeting Mr. Page purportedly attended with a person close to the Russian president, Vladimir V. Putin, while Mr. Page was on a trip to Moscow in July 2016, two months before leaving the Trump campaign.”
