The manager of a popular Vancouver tourist restaurant has been fired after refusing service to a supporter of Donald Trump.

A man wearing one of the U.S. president’s “Make America Great Again” hats was refused service at the Teahouse in Stanley Park on Tuesday by Darin Hodge.

According to the restaurant’s general manager, the man was seated on the patio that evening when Hodge, the floor manager at the time, confronted him.

“[He] took over the table and requested that he take the hat off,” said Andy Crimp.

“[The customer] said he had a right to wear it. [Hodge] said if you don’t take the hat off, we won’t serve you. And the man left.”

The Sequoia Company, which runs the restaurant, says Hodge was fired for not following its “philosophy of tolerance.”

The manager as it turned out was unrepentant:

“I stand by my decision,” he wrote via Facebook. “The MAGA hat has come to symbolize racism, bigotry, Islamophobia, misogyny, white supremacy, [and] homophobia.”

Since this is Canada I have no doubt that this ethical gentleman will soon be gainfully employed again.

And maybe if the Canadians keep rejecting these red-hatted racist motherfuckers they will not have the rampant racism that we are now enjoying here in America.

P.S. Oh, and by the way, happy Canada Day!

‘Trump pledged to eliminate the national debt “over a period of eight years.” But for the first time in history, the national debt surpassed $21 Trillion this week, according to the U.S. Treasury.
The landmark comes shortly after Congress passed, and Mr. Trump signed, a suspension on the federal debt limit last month, allowing the government to borrow an unlimited amount of money until March 1, 2019.
When Mr. Trump took office on Jan. 20, 2017, the national debt was $19.9 Trillion, according to U.S. Treasury data. Since then, the GOP-led Congress has passed a $1.5 Trillion tax cut bill and a two-year spending deal which, together, are expected to drive the deficit and debt further upward. The Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget estimates annual deficits could top $2.1 Trillion per year in the next decade, which would send the national debt soaring even higher.’

trump pledged a lot of crap, the problem is he can’t deliver, that is why he has campaign rallies to keep his supporters riled up about racism, the press and those terrible people invading our country, otherwise they might wake up one day and figure out he is mostly hot air.

Sorry, but it is hard to fathom something so stupid as losing your job because you have a problem with a customers hat. That is really really stupid.

Service industry. The customer is always treated with respect.
