Man verbally abuses teacher for speaking Spanish to her pupils during school field trip to zoo.

Did I mention that many of the children were Hispanic?

Tuesday afternoon, a group of students from Katherine Finchy Elementary School went out on their field trip. In a letter to parents, the school’s principal Matt Hammond said the teacher directed students to leave the coyote exhibit in both English and Spanish. A random man overheard and “proceeded to yell obscenities at the teacher the children pertaining to their Hispanic heritage and culture.”

“In an aggressive sort of manner by a strange man, that was, I think unhappy, that they were not speaking English and wanted them to speak English,” said Sandra Lyon, Superintendent for the Palm Springs Unified School District.

Hammond says the teacher moved her students away from the man and reported the incident to Living Desert staff. However, later in the afternoon, the man returned to the area where the class was and continued to yell at the group.

Staff was with the class this time and immediately called security, who was immediately escorted out of the zoo. Staff told KESQ & CBS Local 2 they have no idea who the man is.

“No we don’t know anything about him just somebody who was in the wrong place and not the right fit for him to spend his day here at the zoo which is family driven and not at the place for his liking,” said Dawn Patrick, director of park services and guest relations at the zoo.

“Not to his liking?

“Somebody who was in the wrong place and not the right fit for him?”

This man went on a racist rant in front of school children, and all the zoo staff can say is that they hope he “considers his own behaviors before making a return trip.”

This has become the new norm, and people are simply not treating it with the seriousness that it deserves.

You know the MAGAbomber also started off insulting people and sending emailed threats, and that evolved into mailing as many as 145 explosive devices and placing numerous lives at risk.

At the very least this man should have received a visit from the local police, and at the most, he should have been taken in for questioning and have his social media posts scrutinized for signs of potential violence.

We need to start treating these people as potential threats, especially with Donald Trump continuing to agitate the racists.

I swear, before I read this post I recalled comments about taking guns to the border to kill migrants in this caravan. I then thought, it is time to call the FBI. to report these people. I agree with Gryphen that we need to speak up to authorities. Although they can’t do much, nor remove their guns until they actually commit physical violence. Maybe sending screen shots to their employers would be of consequence to them or deter acting on their hatred.

Regarding the ignorant man harassing the students and teachers he exemplifies a hypocritical and stupid American. He could not recognize the teacher was teaching English by also saying the same thing in their native language.

They aren’t rational. Provincial and speaking only one language themselves. Likely uneducated beyond high school (or educated at a local “drive-by” community college, or the state college with a bunch of their high school buddies where they just transplanted their isolationist provincialism to a new venue) they themselves speak only one language and that an incorrect, bastardized version. Everything is a threat to them. Yes, they need watching.

When the president spews hatred, dehumanizing lies he models this is acceptable behavior. He praises violent rhetoric and violent behavior. He calls them good people. The president’s response that these Jews should have had guns then it may not have been as bad ignores the issue. What about religious freedom?
The HIAS came out with a statement that included legally seeking asylum. The shooter chose to randomly murder people for support of laws because he hates immigrants and Jews brainwashed by conspiracy theories.

I think the USA is the only country in the world where speaking a second language is seen as something to be ashamed of mostly by ignorant folks that don’t even speak English correctly.

Ironic considering we are suppose to be a country of immigrants.
