New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez secured a spot on the House Financial Services Committee, the powerful House group that oversees Wall Street.
Ocasio-Cortez confirmed her appointment on Tuesday night on Twitter, saying: “Financial Services is one of just four exclusive committees in the House. It oversees big banks, lending, & the financial sector.”
“I am very grateful for the opportunity to sit on this committee as a freshman, and look forward to working under the leadership of @RepMaxineWaters!” she added.
First-year members of Congress are rarely given places on high-ranking committees like this one.
I was kinda joking about AOC getting access to Trump’s tax returns, she might not directly see them herself.
But being on this committee means that she might, and it also means that she is going to have access to all kinds of information about the criminal activities of financial institutions, and you KNOW she is going to publicize as much of that as she is allowed to talk about publicly.
I personally think that Ocasio-Cortez may have been given this opportunity just to freak the conservatives out a little.
I could just see Maxine Waters saying “Hey do you know what will really piss Sean Hannity off?”
Update: AOC also went after Yertle the Turtle yesterday.

Man, can you even imagine the debate between Ocasio-Cortez and McConnell if she were able to track him down?
