In contentious phone call with Prime Minister Trudeau Donald Trump incorrectly accuses Canada of once burning down the White House.

President Donald Trump and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau had a testy phone call on May 25 over new tariffs imposed by the Trump administration targeting steel and aluminum imports coming from Canada, including one moment during the conversation in which Trump made an erroneous historical reference, sources familiar with the discussion told CNN.

According to the sources, Trudeau pressed Trump on how he could justify the tariffs as a “national security” issue. In response, Trump quipped to Trudeau, “Didn’t you guys burn down the White House?” referring to the War of 1812.

The problem with Trump’s comments to Trudeau is that British troops burned down the White House during the War of 1812. Historians note the British attack on Washington was in retaliation for the American attack on York, Ontario, in territory that eventually became Canada, which was then a British colony.

When asked if the comment was received as a joke, one source on the call said: “To the degree one can ever take what is said as a joke. The impact on Canada and ultimately on workers in the US won’t be a laughing matter.”

Do you have any idea how hard it is to write on this blog when things happen that are so incredibly stupid that the render you speechless?

I am so fucking embarrassed all of the time by this ill-fitting suit wearing orangutan that I can hardly see straight.

One of Trump’s loyal subjects and the U.S. Ambassador, Nikki Haley, took a virtual beating at the United Nations meeting. The Twitter video below via Now This shows Haley begging other ambassadors to sign her Trump/U.S. Gaza Resolution. At one point in the video, with hand over her heart, Haley appears to be asking one ambassador, “Oh, please.” But her desperate attempts were to no avail leaving her in a very awkward situation. She then, in Trump style, tries to bully and threaten the entire U.N..

One ambassador said that he never, in the history of the U.N., had seen a resolution shot down the way Haley’s was. Here is the Now This video. With some videos, it’s easier to just read the transcript. I would recommend watching this one. It’s too good not to.

” “Having a president who doesn’t know anything about American history, world history, diplomatic history, about any basic stuff that well-educated American high school seniors understand.”” “They were shooting down at guys that were trying to get up the cliffs and liberate Europe from Hitler’s Germany. The ignorance is spectacular.” “State Department press secretary Heather Nauert suggested the Germans fought alongside Americans at D-Day.”

2499 Americans “The Allied casualties figures for D-Day have generally been estimated at 10,000, including 2500 dead. Broken down by nationality, the usual D-Day casualty figures are approximately 2700 British, 946 Canadians, and 6603 Americans. However recent painstaking research by the US National D-Day Memorial Foundation has achieved a more accurate – and much higher – figure for the Allied personnel who were killed on D-Day. They have recorded the names of individual Allied personnel killed on 6 June 1944 in Operation Overlord, and so far they have verified 2499 American D-Day fatalities and 1915 from the other Allied nations, a total of 4414 dead (much higher than the traditional figure of 2500 dead)”

Why oh why did we get stuck with a fat old ugly president? If any leader is going to take over the United States I wish it would be Canada’s. Such a hunk. And that French president! Oh la la! Yes, I am being sexist and oogling these handsome leaders. Sorry. But when you put that albino Trump next to these men, I can’t help be compare. And their manners are so statesmen like and Trump is like the ugly American tourist. Loud, and rambunctious. Yuck!

Remember when we used to have a suave MF’r in the Oval Office instead of a man shaped turd – it seems like a thousand years ago.

As far as I’m concerned, anyone who supports this shitgibbon is a bigoted anti-American.

OMG, this is like crack cocaine for an extreme narcissist! Because he will believe he is and point to this movie as proof. SCARY SHIT.

An Evangelical University Is Helping Create A Movie About How Trump Was Chosen By God

The movie will be a collaboration between an independent Christian filmmaker and Liberty University in Virginia, one of the largest evangelical Christian universities in the country.

    …‘The Trump Prophecy’

“The Trump Prophecy” tells the story of Mark Taylor, a retired firefighter from Orlando, Florida, who believes God told him in April 2011 that Trump would one day become president of the United States. In an interview with the Christian Broadcasting Network, Taylor claims he was watching television around 2 a.m when Trump appeared on a news segment. He said he then heard the voice of God telling him, “You’re hearing the voice of a president.”

Taylor grabbed a pen and paper and wrote down words he says came directly from the Holy Spirit. The revelation, which Taylor described as a prophecy, claimed God had chosen Trump to bring “honor, respect and restoration” to America. America was going to prosper like never before, Taylor said, and the ties between Israel and the U.S. would grow stronger.

I’m relieved that firefighter Taylor is retired because I wouldn’t want to have him try to save me from a fire. He’d probably go to the wrong house. I wonder if our friend, who voted for Trump because he worries about the national debt (I know; his reasoning is way off), is anxious to see this movie.

Let’s just suppose the Canadians did burn down the WH in 1812, what does that have to do with National Security in 2018?

Unbelievable how this moron keeps getting away with this crap, he should be impeached just for being stupid. He is the National Security risk.

  7. Marthe June 7, 2018 at 6:28 am

Trump is already questioning whether he should attend the G7 summit in Charlevoix on June 8 and 9 because he fears being isolated and lectured by other heads of state.
I have a feeling that he will either decide not to attend at the last minute or he will leave early in a fit of pique when he is criticized. His narcissism will not allow him to tolerate the slightest critique.

“‘The Trump administration has taken some incredibly positive steps for the American economy, but tariffs will undercut that progress and needlessly hamstring our full economic potential,’ said Tim Phillips, president of Americans for Prosperity, a Koch network advocacy group.

Phillips also said they want Trump to reduce or eliminate trade barriers and update the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) while also returning to the Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP).

Government leaders from Europe, China, Canada, and Mexico have also criticized the Trump’s tariff moves and have threatened to retaliate in ways that would hurt both American businesses and consumers.”

    • Beaglemom June 7, 2018 at 9:54 am

As soon as I saw that Phillips is from “Americans for Prosperity,” the front group for the Koch brothers’ big con game after President Obama was elected, I realized that he knows the only real positives for the American economy have been the disgusting tax law recently enacted. The Koch group, Americans for Prosperity, drew lots of low intellect and not-so-wealthy Republicans in with its fake patriotism but it was never intended to help ordinary Republicans, let alone ordinary Americans.

““That is exactly what is happening now. Nobody wanted to listen, and nobody did anything to stop this from developing. Well, there you go, you’ve been hit. Dinner is served … please sit down and eat.””“The understanding that a third world war could be the end of civilization should restrain us.” any military moves against pro-Russian separatists in eastern Ukraine while Russia hosts the impending soccer World Cup, it would suffer.

“I hope that there won’t be any provocations, but if it happens I think it would have very serious consequences for Ukrainian statehood in general,” CRIMEa!
