I think this is the first one to show Beto ahead.

Hopefully, it is not the last.

Courtesy of The Hill:

Rep. Beto O’Rourke (D) holds a 2-point lead over incumbent Sen. Ted Cruz (R) in a new poll of their Texas Senate race.

The Reuters–Ipsos–University of Virginia Center for Politics poll released on Wednesday found that 47 percent of voters said they favored O’Rourke, while 45 percent said they favored Cruz.

The survey, which was composed among a population of 992 adults, had a credibility interval of 4 percentage points. It was conducted between Sept. 6 and Sept. 14.

The Hill points out that an earlier recent poll had Cruz ahead by 9 points, so make of that what you will.

My opinion is that the needle is definitely moving in O’Reourke’s direction and I will also point out that the kinds of people who are definitely voting for O’Rourke may not be the type of people who like to participate in polls.

In other words, these numbers may be much higher for Beto than these polls indicate.

Donald Trump urged Spain to ‘build the wall’ – across the Sahara
” the US president brushed off the scepticism of Spanish diplomats – who pointed out that the Sahara stretched for 3,000 miles – saying: “The Sahara border can’t be bigger than our border with Mexico.”

Trump wooed voters in the 2016 election with his promise to build a “big, beautiful wall” across the US/Mexico border, which is roughly 2,000 miles long.

A similar plan in the Sahara, however, would be complicated by the fact that Spain holds only two small enclaves in north Africa – Ceuta and Melilla – and such a wall would have to be built on foreign territory.”

This is so good to hear. I saw Willie Nelson on TV with Stephen Colbert last night, he is looking amazing, half his age and a million bucks more. They’re a potent duo.

Depends on which poll you cite.

They had their first debate Friday night. Cruz is apparently very good at debate. But it still didn’t go that well for him. The camera caught him with his smug smirk more than once. And he pulled some dirty tricks using debate rules, baiting Beto when he couldn’t respond. But if anything, it clearly shows the character of Cruz. Bush says “I just don’t like the guy.” I think the debate will result in a lot of people not liking the guy.

Beto has a good shot at this.
