I guess we should thank Donald Trump for reminding us of this important anniversary.

Hillary Clinton not only nailed the type of people who support Donald Trump but ever since the election they have gone way out of their way to prove the correctness of her statement.

I read where someone said that even if you could not assume that everybody who voted for Trump was a racist, you can no longer afford them the benefit of that doubt if they have continued to support him after he defended the Nazis in Charlottesvile, imprisoned immigrant children crossing the border with parents seeking asylum, and constantly levied attacks on black women through Twitter and during his white nationalist speeches.

In other words yes, if you are still supporting Donald Trump today than you are indeed a “deplorable” and Hillary Clinton had your number two years ago.

But you get a feeling that they don’t have a full grasp on the word deplorable and actually consider it a compliment.

Remember how the media jumped all over the word “deplorables” without ever talking about the context. And then ever since the election has worked tirelessly bleated to Democrats that we should feel sorry for the Trump supporters. Nope. We should not. They were, and still are, fools who let themselves be strayed by a con artist and a political party that sold its soul decades ago to woo Southern voters who were frightened of allowing all Americans to have equal rights. In the end, these flag-waving, mean-spirited and ignorant Americans did the bidding of the reincarnation of Joseph Stalin and put Trump in the White House and gave the GOP all that it ever wanted, the opportunity to destroy all that is good about our country.

““If President Obama is so shocked about why the electorate voted for President Trump, all he needs to do is look in the mirror,” Urban opined. “I mean, his presidency and his administration were the cause for the rise of the electorate and supporting of President Trump.””

“My colleagues, privately, I hear them say ‘the guy’s nuts, but why would we throw him out,’” “‘We’re getting everything we ever dreamt of’. And now the Holy Grail, the Supreme Court decision of bringing in Kavanaugh. They’ve hit the lottery.” “You are going to convince the people who struggled really hard in 2016 between Hillary Clinton, not liking her, and Donald Trump, not liking him and suddenly saying, ‘you know what, this guy, we’ve been in Crazytown for too long,’”

If Trump’s goal is to even the trade score with China, he is failing. Over the first eight months of 2018 China’s surplus with the United States rose almost 15 percent. This shows that his misguided trade war isn’t working, but is backfiring spectacularly.

“As PBS’s “Amanpour and Company” prepares to launch Monday on member stations, the elevation of the show’s eponymous primary host is at least tangentially related to a story still percolating in the headlines.

In May PBS selected Amanpour to replace Charlie Rose, whose long-running interview program ceased production in November 2017 in the wake of multiple accusations of sexual harassment. PBS began running Amanpour’s CNN International program in Rose’s slot” ” the public television service is making a statement to the media world at large about where it stands in a landscape still grappling not only with #MeToo but with the impact of systemic sexism on women’s careers.” “A viewer can learn more about international politics, social constructs and history from spending less than 30 minutes with Amanpour”
“Amanpour’s “Company,” as it were, consists of author and historian Walter Isaacson; Alicia Menendez, a contributing editor at Bustle; NPR’s Michel Martin, familiar as the weekend host of NPR’s “All Things Considered”; and Hari Sreenivasan, a correspondent with PBS NewsHour. “They all come with a remarkable diversity of age, ethnicity and experience. And I think that’s very cool,”
“You could describe this moment as being a moment that’s drowning in chatter, right? So much chatter. It’s coming at you from the cable, from the radio, from the social media. There’s just so much that no human brain can take it all in. It’s so discombobulating.”
” When you start being called “the enemies of the people,” that’s a line where you have to stand up and resist.” “We are obviously the friends of the people, we are the servants of the people, the explainers of the people. We are the people who get up and go to those distant lands where it’s too dangerous or too expensive or too difficult or too time-consuming for the people to go to, for our viewers, our readers, our online users.

We go there and put ourselves at risk to get the TRUTH and the FACTS and the EVIDENCE and that is an indispensable role.”

“Christiane Amanpour brings you a heart-wrenching report on family separations as hundreds of children wait to be reunited with their parents, and she asks Cesar Vargas, the first undocumented immigrant to join the new york state bar, what it will take to build a better immigration system in the U.S.”

“David Frum, Senior Editor of The Atlantic and Marc Lotter, Former Press Secretary for Mike Pence join Christiane Amanpour to discuss the explosive anonymous Op-Ed published in The New York Times detailing a resistance within the White House. Eve Ensler and Christine Schuler Deschryver, Co-Founders of City of Joy, a center for RAPE victims in the Congo talk about turning women’s pain into power.”

“That’s me shooting the cap and trade bill, because it was bad for West Virginia,” Manchin says in the ad, showing the opening from the 2010 spot, where Manchin rebelled against an environmental priority of Democratic leaders.” “Manchin was thought to be one of the most vulnerable Senate Democrats running for reelection in 2018 because Trump West Virginia won by more than 40 percentage points in the 2016 presidential election.”

““I think Hillary is getting killed right now with Russia,” Trump tells staffers. “The real Russia story is Hillary and collusion.” The president claims that then-staffer Hope Hicks told him Clinton paid $9 million for the opposition research that resulted in an infamous dossier, although Sarah Sanders corrected him to say it was closer to $6 million.

“Did you see?” Trump says. “Nobody knows who spent it. No, I heard it was 9. I heard it was 5.7 but now they say it was 9.”

Trump claims the money was paid through a law firm so it could not be traced, and he insisted the payments were illegal campaign contributions.

“It’s definitely illegal, and it’s illegal from a campaign standpoint, from a campaign financing standpoint,” “When Donald Trump got bored, which was very often because his attention span was very short, he would sometimes try to figure out what meetings were taking place in the White House and he would crash those meetings,” Manigault continued. “He crashed the meeting, he came into the meeting, he sat down and he starts rambling from topic to topic, none of it makes sense.”

And one of the sports of those very deplorables is the NFL, which strangely is a separate post on this blog today. Should have combined the two, they are the same. Masses like that are those very masses out of shared ignorance. Kneel all you want – you are still kneeling in the fumigator’s mist! Have a great day Hillary.

““The emails obtained by ABC News detail Butina’s efforts to organize the summit that brought high-ranking NRA members and powerful Russian nationals together in Moscow in December 2015, a trip seemingly sponsored by Butina’s gun-rights group ‘Right to Bear Arms.’”

“The delegation included NRA board member Pete Brownell, Trump campaign surrogate Sheriff David Clarke, major NRA benefactor Dr. Arnold Goldschlager and his daughter Hilary, NRA fundraiser Joe Gregory, former NRA president David Keene and Outdoor Channel CEO Jim Liberatore. They reportedly met with Butina, her alleged handler Alexander Torshin, the Deputy Governor of the Russian Central Bank who was sanctioned by the U.S. Treasury in 2018, and Dmitry Rogozin, then-Russian Deputy Prime Minister who was sanctioned by the U.S. Treasury in 2014.””Writing in June of 2016 to the Outdoor Channel attempting to develop a show highlighting Putin’s alleged love of the outdoors, Butina wrote, “This matters to your project because THEY have already lobbied President Putin to do this show as an example of the kind of relationship Russia could have with America … and with President Trump.”
“Representatives Elijah Cummings and Stephen Lynch questioned the security clearance of John Bolton, Trump’s national security adviser, asking White House Chief of Staff John Kelly to turn over vetting documents related to Bolton, focusing on if he participated by video in a 2013 gun rights discussion organized by Butina.”
