House Republicans block access to notes about Trump-Putin summit in Helsinki.

How many assets does the Kremlin have in the GOP?

House Foreign Affairs Committee Republicans have rejected Democrats’ request that the State Department turn over documents that would explain what President Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed in their July one-on-one meeting in Helsinki.

Lawmakers and Americans still don’t know the substance of what was discussed during Trump’s meeting with Putin, but there is no momentum from the Republican majority on Capitol Hill to compel those details from the administration. A previous Democratic motion to subpoena the interpreter in the room was blocked by Republicans as well.

Intelligence officials may know what was discussed, but until more details emerge, 51% of voters believe Putin has something on Trump and even Republican lawmakers are saying Trump is an active participant in Russia’s disinformation campaign. His own director of national intelligence, Dan Coats, said he wishes Trump took a different tack in Helsinki.

Okay, serious questions.

If there was nothing troubling about what Trump said during this meeting WHY would the House Republicans keep the Democrats from accessing them?

And second, if the Republicans are not in some way compromised by the Kremlin why would they not feel compelled to hold Trump accountable if indeed he said or agreed to something that is not in America’s best interests?

I am truly confused about what is happening with the Republican party right now.

Trump was ripe for the presidency as all the Republicans became so corrupt they needed him to validate their plans. They also use the hypocrisy of religion and patriotism to further their plans to be the fascist party that they dreamed about since the Reagan years. Who knew an unclassy guy like Trump would be the one.

They all have forgotten exactly WHO they are suppose to be working for, the citizens of this country, not putin, not trump and not the GOP !!!

However I have a feeling that the transcript is so “crazy” they are embarrassed to release it or putin really put one over on little donnie again.

They need a nice wake up call on NOV 6th.

Republican members of Congress turned their backs on the Constitution when President Obama took office. They were seditious then. It didn’t take them any time at all to become treasonous once Don the Con came on the scene. They have not worked for the people since George W. Bush was in office.

There’s quite a huge flock of chickens that will be coming home to roost over this Republican majority Congress.

There is no doubt in my mind that Trump is not the only Republican in Washington who has been compromised by the Russians, both in the Senate and the House. Paul Ryan, Devin Nunes & Lindsey Graham all come to mind, which would explain their sudden friendships and support of the orange orangutan.

I agree completely and I cannot believe that this point is not brought out in the open more often. A lot of the GOP congress members are beholden to the NRA. Russia funneled money to the NRA to these members and made them puppets. There is no other explanation, in my mind, why experienced politicians would follow buffoon Trump when they know he is a joke.

    How many days?

Right after the new wave of public servants is sworn in in January, those motions will be made again and this time they will pass. So we only have to wait three and a half months before we know.

I hope the translator has a food tester and a bodyguard.

For that matter, I hope RBG has them too.
