Good for him!

Courtesy of Newsweek:

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has criticized Republicans and called for a hate crime investigation by police after members of the far-right Trump-supporting Proud Boys group were involved in violent clashes in Manhattan on Friday evening.

The Democratic governor also pointed fingers at Donald Trump on Sunday, accusing the president and his party of fanning the flames of division within the country.

“So the president is on the stump today saying ‘the Democrats are a mob, the Democrats will bring chaos, they are leftists,’ and then coincidentally, the Republican Party in the State of New York invites a group known for violence and for hate speech,” Cuomo said, WAMC Northeast Public Radio reported, suggesting that the Proud Boys were invited specifically to cause a brawl.

“And by the way, I don’t believe in coincidences in politics. Not on the same weekend, not in New York. Not in a Republican Party that is very close to Trump,” he added.

This, of course, is about the attack I posted about down thread in which a bunch of Right Wing assholes went on a violence spree and started to randomly abuse New Yorkers as they yelled out “faggot.”

One witness said this about the attack:

“If the cops hadn’t pulled up, they probably would have just kept going and killed them,” photojournalist Sandi Bachom told Newsweek, referring to the Proud Boys’ members who had attacked counter-demonstrators.

It’s a good thing for the victims that this happened in New York because if it had happened in Georgia or Texas these thugs would be getting some kind of award.

And Cuomo’s right to blame this on Donald Trump.

Trump has been inciting violence since before he took office, so just like the increased racism, I imagine we see more of these kinds of attacks as well.

You need an interpreter. He is keeping his feet in the water on a presidential run.

Did anyone say he wasn’t? Still the right thing to do.

Stay with me here Meghan, in addition, Hillary is most definitely thinking about 2020, regardless of what Mr. Gryphen has said previously.

Today she noted that her husbands affair with a 22 yo white house staffer was not an abuse of power (an American President and a young young YOUNG adult), in an attempt to sidestep the metoo-ers.

This is all gamesmanship, nothing more.

        Captain Obvious.

ps. if she does, it will be a completely embarrassing end to her service.

New Jersey. “Five of New Jersey’s 12 House seats are held by Republicans. This election, two of those seats — the 7th and the 11th congressional districts — are key targets by Democrats who hope to flip the House in their favor. NewsHour Weekend Special Correspondent Jeff Greenfield reports on the two tight races and the role President Trump could play in their outcome.”

“There is no such thing as an ‘LGBTQ Catholic’ or a ‘transgender Catholic’ or a ‘heterosexual Catholic,’ as if our sexual appetites defined who we are,” he said in his response, “as if these designations described discrete communities of differing but equal integrity within the real ecclesial community, the body of Jesus Christ. This has never been true in the life of the Church, and is not true now.”
