During speech in Montana Trump attacks Angela Merkel, Maxine Waters, Elizabeth Warren, among others. But says Putin’s fine.

President Trump lobbed personal and derogatory attacks at two Democratic senators, mocked the #MeToo movement and vouched for President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia on Thursday during a freewheeling, raucous rally ostensibly intended to solidify support for Montana’s Republican Senate candidate.

Taunting Senator Elizabeth Warren, Democrat of Massachusetts, with a refusal to apologize for calling her “Pocahontas,” Mr. Trump imagined a debate during which he would gently throw an ancestry testing kit at Ms. Warren to make her prove the Native American heritage she has controversially claimed.

“We are going to do it gently because we’re the #MeToo generation, so we have to be very careful,” the president said to scattered laughter, adding that he would donate $1 million to charity if Ms. Warren followed through.

As the crowd cheered and pounded on the bleachers during the roughly 70-minute speech at the Four Seasons Arena in Great Falls, Mr. Trump embellished on his favorite exaggerations and falsehoods, including his margin of victory in the Electoral College, the country’s trade deficits and crowd size. He teased the announcement of his Supreme Court pick and a possible slogan for his 2020 campaign. He complained about negative coverage of his relationship with the North Korean leader, Kim Jong-un, claiming that President Barack Obama “would have loved” to have had a meeting with Mr. Kim.

And he slammed critics who suggested that he was not prepared for his coming meeting with Mr. Putin in Finland, dismissing Mr. Putin’s background as a head of Russia’s intelligence service.

“Putin’s fine,” Mr. Trump said. “He’s fine. We’re all fine. We’re people. Will I be prepared? Totally prepared. I’ve been preparing for this stuff my whole life.”

“Getting along with Russia, and getting along with China and getting along with other countries is a good thing,” he added, “not a bad thing.”

Trump also poo-pooed the idea that Putin was KGB.

Keep in mind that there are two innocent people in Britain fighting for their lives because they accidentally came into contact with the poison that Putin used during an assassination attempt on an ex-spy.

And yet this is who Trump is defending while viciously attacking fellow Americans and longtime allies of the United States.

Trump went on to attack Montana Democratic Senator Jon Tester, called Maxine Waters “low IQ,” and launched thinly veiled insults at John McCain and George H.W. Bush.

I’m not going to lie, I found this speech terrifying.

Trump is completely unhinged, out of control, and becoming increasingly dangerous.

“As the crowd cheered and pounded on the bleachers …”

This part is exceptionally scary. These folks are cheering a wannabe dictator and Russian stooge. A traitor.
The depth of their ignorance is frightening.

Completely agree with you Gryphen, especially your last sentence. I listened to snippets last night on MSNBC and again this afternoon. Trump is out of his mind. His talk is despicable. His followers are the dumbest of the dumb and unfortunately dangerous. How low will he be allowed to go before he is removed?

I felt alarmed hearing his speech especially establishing Putin is good and allies, past president, and others are portrayed as bad people, stupid, liars to speak nonsense. Then his slipping in mockery of the Me Too Movement to debase women as sex objects deserving to be sexually assaulted against their wishes reminded me what he thinks about females.
Looking at the big picture of Trump’s lying attacks about allies, his pleasure intentionally humiliating people is about selling a grandiose image of his false self while building up Putin as a fine man praising his autocracy. I am not a conspiracy minded person. Today I do consider if Putin made Trump an offer he could not refuse to feed Trump’s insatiable need for power, reign supreme over others, be an authoritarian ruler while aiding to damage democracy.

Ari Melber juxtaposed Trump supporters chanting Lock her up with clips of Manafort trying to get out of jail and Michael Cohen. Wait, Trump supporters are conned that Manafort, Cohen, the others indicted is all fake news. This feels like The Twilight Zone.

Well i guess he didn’t get his surrogates memo about civility. Oh right that doesn’t include republicans.

I wish the secret service would bug him and record his “private”meeting with his controlller, putin.

What in the hell was that babbling about having a mouth and a brain?
Trump definitely has a butt hole mouth and no brain.

I wish one of those kids that melanomia tells to be kind, who ask her what about your husband.

If he doesn’t believe putin was KGB, he is the only one in the world that thinks that. Even putin admits he was/is KGB, heck he was the head of it and proud of it.

I believe they’ve also defunded programs having to do with sex trafficking.

Trump is doubling down on misogyny. Tripling even.
