Donald Trump watches replays of his rallies and debate performances just so he admire himself.

Oh yeah, nothing troubling about this.

Courtesy of Axios:

Like an NFL coach reviewing game film, President Trump likes to watch replays of his debate and rally performances. But instead of looking for weaknesses in technique or for places to improve, Trump luxuriates in the moments he believes are evidence of his brilliance.

Trump commentates as he watches, according to sources who’ve sat with him and viewed replays on his TiVo, which is pre-loaded with his favorites on the large TV in the private dining room adjoining the Oval Office. When watching replays, Trump will interject commentary, reveling in his most controversial lines. “Wait for it. … See what I did there?” he’ll say.

“People think it’s easy,” Trump said in one riff about rally footage, per a source with direct knowledge. “I’ve been doing this a long time now and people are used to it, every rally, it’s like, people have said P.T. Barnum. People have said that before. And they think that’s easy, because hey, P.T. Barnum, he does the circus. … They don’t realize, it’s a lot of work. It’s not easy.”

I like how this orange-tinted buffoon compares himself to a guy who actually ran a circus.

Trump also likes to relive those debates against Hillary back in 2016.

In the early weeks of the administration, Trump loved to relive his debate performances against Hillary Clinton. His favorite, according to sources with direct knowledge, was the St. Louis debate after the Access Hollywood tape leaked, when the Trump team invited Bill Clinton’s sexual misconduct accusers as their guests in the live audience.

Trump used to enjoy rewatching the moment in that debate when Clinton observed, “It’s just awfully good that someone with the temperament of Donald Trump is not in charge of the law in our country.”

“Because,” Trump replied, “you’d be in jail.”

Apparently, Trump thinks that’s the greatest thing to happen in the history of presidential debates.

I actually think this moment is far superior.

Say what you will about Hillary Clinton, but she had the guts to call Donald Trump a puppet of Vladimir Putin right to his fat fucking face.

For the record Donald Trump lost every one of those debates against Hillary, only he is too goddamn stupid to realize it.

She was telling the truth! It is like watching a horrible movie, only we are in it and have no idea how it will end.

It’s almost laughable when Don the Con reacts to being called Putin’s puppet but repeatedly saying “you’re the puppet, you’re the puppet.” He sounds like a child who has clearly lost the argument. I am so sad for this country that Hillary Clinton did not have the privilege of following Barack Obama as our president. None of the woes that have since befallen us would have happened – from the shameful separation of children from their parents here seeking asylum to the spector of Vladimir Putin shadowing every more of the Trump administration. I sure wish the Electoral College had done its job and rectified the misleading win of Don the Con by awarding the presidency to the real winner, Hillary Clinton.

      Totally agree with you.

Anyone remember in the film, A Clockwork Orange (appropriately enough!) how Alex, the main character, was sent to prison and repeatedly forced to watch film of his or similar crimes with his eyes clamped open as part of his aversion therapy?

My dream for little donnie is that someday he’ll be in a not-too-cushy federal correctional institution with his eyes clamped open forced to watch video of HIS crimes and having to listen to the nauseating sound of his own voice (IMO even more repulsive than Palin’s screech) for 16 hours a day. Hope the bastard enjoys “commentating” on that!

Media Blackout: The White House Stops Talking to the Press

The White House told the media on Monday that President Donald Trump would not take any questions after he admitted on Twitter that his son may have colluded with Russians during the 2016 campaign.

“JUST IN: White House announces a travel/photo lid, which means no public appearances by Trump today as new questions swirl around that 2016 Trump Tower meeting to get dirt on Hillary Clinton.”

…The move seemed designed to insulate the president from making any more legally damaging statements to the press, and to prevent him from incriminating himself any further.

It is widely believed that he, his advisors, and even his family may be facing increasing legal jeopardy for possible criminal conspiracies and obstruction of justice.

…With one simple tweet, the president changed his story from “no collusion” to “collusion is OK.” He now claims that meeting with Russians to get “opposition research” is perfectly fine and it’s done all the time. In saying this he forgot to mention that the campaign help he solicited and obtained was from a foreign enemy of the United States, the Russian Federation.

Receiving help from a foreign nation during a campaign is not legal in any way, shape or form, but Trump has now admitted that he did this, and so did his senior campaign advisers. He also said his son Don Jr. knew about it and arranged it.

The White House “lid” on presidential travel and questions from the press clearly was an attempt to prevent a desperate and beleaguered commander in chief from adding to the new legal problems he has made for himself.

The removal came hours after his Facebook page was removed for allegedly violating its policies.

Alex Jones’ personal YouTube channel, “The Alex Jones Channel,” has been terminated for violating community guidelines, the website announced on Monday.

The decision came just hours after the controversial conspiracy theorist’s Facebook page was similarly removed for allegedly violating its policies on graphic violence and hate speech.

YouTube channels for InfoWars and InfoWars Live, Jones’ affiliated channels, had also been terminated as of Monday afternoon.

Conservatives freak out after LSAT test prep book includes a question about ‘racist’ Trump

A Boston woman says she found herself being accosted by an angry white man simply because she parked her motorcycle on the street where he lived.

In a video posted on her Facebook page, Boston resident NeNe Judge’Mayo can be seen getting screamed at by a white man after she parked her motorcycle in what he described as “his neighborhood” of Dorchester — despite the fact that Judge’Mayo lives in Dorchester as well.

‘It’s what they use on the mob’: Former federal prosecutor explains potential RICO charges against Trump Jr.

…Attorney Seth B. Waxman joined MSNBC’s Kasie Hunt on Monday to analyze the changing legal liability facing the president’s namesake son.

“What are the laws around this?” Hunt asked the partner at Dickinson Wright.

“There are several,” Waxman noted. “We’ve talked about a little bit this idea of foreign campaign contributions, where if a foreign national gives anything of value to someone, a campaign, that can be a crime. On the other side if the person accepts or even solicits that kind of contribution, that can be a crime.”

“So Don, Jr, when he says he ‘loves it’ with regards to the dirt on Hillary, that alone can be a crime, full stop,” he explained.

“There are other crimes, bribery, which is a quid pro quo quo,” he said. “If anything of value was given in exchange for the promise of future government action like reducing sanctions, that can be bribery.”

“And bribery can be the basis for several other charges, such as Honest Services Fraud,” he said.

“Or the most powerful weapon federal prosecutors have, RICO,” he added. “So there’s a whole series of charges out there.”

“Translate RICO for our viewers,” Hunt requested.

“Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations,” he replied. “So that’s what’s used to go after the mob.”

“I’m speculating a bit, but bribery is a predicate offense to RICO,” he noted.

“If you get into that framework, you’re looking at 15, 20 and 30 years offenses — as opposed to campaign finance law which is 1 or 2 or 5-year offenses and those aren’t the offenses to flip senior members of a conspiracy, especially if it’s the son or son-in-law,” he concluded.

Some Big Names in Republican Fundraising Are Financing Trump’s Legal Defense Fund
The Patriot Legal Expense Fund Trust has raised more than $200,000. But it hasn’t spent a penny on actual legal work.

…The Patriot Legal Expense Fund Trust has been secretive with its funding sources. The Internal Revenue Service, which generally posts such disclosures on its website, has no record of the Patriot Legal Expense Fund Trust’s financial statements for the first half of the year. But copies of the filings provided to The Daily Beast list sizable contributions from some big names in Republican donor circles.

Don the Con has to be the most narcissistic person ever to watch and admire his own performances. Historians will have to have a degree in psychology to describe what really happened during this period of aberration in American history.

…“He’s been doing it forever,” Heilemann noted. “There’s a history of racism in the family, it runs straight through him.”
