Fucking baby!

Courtesy of The Star:

Escalating his attack on Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, U.S. President Donald Trump is now pledging to punish “the people of Canada” economically because of the post-G7 news conference in which Trudeau criticized Trump’s tariffs.

“That’s going to cost a lot of money for the people of Canada. He learned. You can’t do that. You can’t do that,” Trump said Tuesday in Singapore after meeting with North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un.

Trump repeated the vague threat in an interview with ABC.

“I actually like Justin, you know, I think he’s good, I like him, but he shouldn’t have done that. That was a mistake. That’s going to cost him a lot of money,” Trump said.

This is the first time Trump has threatened to take out his frustration with Trudeau on the Canadian people.

Jesus, this is so embarrassing!

This, by the way, is what Trudeau said that so infuriated Donald Trump.

Seemed perfectly reasonable to me. Because it WAS perfectly reasonable.

Trudeau is not on his own here, he is also backed up by the Canadian Parliment.

So now we are making nice with a North Korean dictator, and threatening our allies to the North?

I am not sure that it gets any more fucked up than that.

It still makes me sick to my stomach to witness the Republican hypocrisy that enables this idiot. Every time (everyday sometimes multiple times a day!) Trump does something stupid or inflammatory, I substitute Obama’s name for his and wonder how FOX news would report that, or how Republicans would react. It’s truly disgusting and sad.

I am thoroughly disgusted by his comments about Kim, ie he loves his people, he is talented , ie such a great guy meanwhile he is continually trashing Trudeau and now the Canadian people. Watching the CBC news, it appears the Canadians have little donnie’s number and are staying calm. they know that he flip flops and are talking to the US Ambassador about all this.

My feeling is not only did putin put donnie up to all this, but trump is working on real estate deals instead of the best interests of the US. His speech about “war games” is very telling and this crap about he knows all about airplanes is laughable.

We got absolutely nothing from this summit, they didn’t even have “time” to add the nuclear deal to the documents, what a joke!!

All this summit accomplished is write jokes for late night comedians

But lots of pundits are applauding Trump’s “success” with North Korea and ignoring his rudeness to this countries’ allies last week. There is something bad and really bizarre going on in the US right now.

This is especially troubling for my husband and me because for about 24 years most of our cultural life (television (TVO – Ontario’s public television), radio (CBC after Detroit lost its classical music station) and theatre (multiple trips a year to the Stratford (ON) Festival) came from Canada. We distanced ourselves from all of that when we moved to northern Michigan and we still miss it. For years, Canada filled a void for us and we learned to really appreciate what a “good neighbor” the US has in Canada. And now, an infantile temper tantrum by a leader who is clueless about what leadership is all about could seriously damage that international friendship between our two countries.

“thank you, Mr. President, for adopting 19th-century trade policies that combine both raging economic illiteracy and inevitably adverse outcomes for America. Well done.

Thank you, because nothing says Presidential Stature like your juvenile dick-waving and insults attacking the heads of state of the G7 nations.”
“you’re willing to compromise their security and ours for an inconsequential photo-op with a hopped-up fatboy dictator who looks like Pyongyang already has a Krispy Kreme and a Popeyes, and he’s the only one allowed to eat in them.” ” You got your on-camera handshake with a man who orders the deaths of children. You got your lunch with one of the few remaining dictators on this earth and put the Leader of the Free World on the same level as a hereditary thug who killed his half-brother with chemical weapons.”
” No matter what damage you inflict on our economy, our alliances, trade, our stature in the world, our role as an exemplar of democratic values, our ability to serve as an honest broker in the international community, and our security, Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell will lay supine before you.”

I’ve been running into Republican citizens on the street who are becoming more confident that their side won. They are saying that eventually there will be no more democrats. That the democrats use research money to fund sex trafakking. That Hillary will be locked up. They must be having these secret rallies and boosting their crazy up a notch or two because when you listen to them it seems that all is a foregone conclusion. I think people in power who are letting Trump run rampage over our democracy will one day be sorry.

@ 9:17 – There has always been a certain type of individual who will follow a cult leader no matter how crazy their rhetoric may be but the sheer number of Trump supporters is more than alarming. I can’t see it getting better anytime soon. The beast has been awakened.

The attacks on Trudeau are on. I saw on the web someone putting out there conspiracy theories on his eyebrows. Everytime someone goes against Putin and Trump a smear campaign is launched immediately.
