President Trump has spent more in taxpayer dollars on his frequent trips to his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida than Robert Mueller’s office has spent on the Russia investigation so far, despite Trump’s attacks on the high cost of the Russia probe.

The president has repeatedly attacked the Mueller probe for racking up millions of dollars in expenditures after the Justice Department reported this week that the special counsel’s office had spent roughly $16.7 million on expenses in just over a year of investigation.

“A.P. has just reported that the Russian Hoax Investigation has now cost our government over $17 million, and going up fast. No Collusion, except by the Democrats!” Trump tweeted on Friday.

$17 million that sounds like a lot, right?

That depends on what you compare it to.

According to the website, the president has now made 17 separate trips to the Florida resort since taking office last year, which the website goes on to estimate has cost American taxpayers about $34,181,000 so far.

The president has spent 69 days at just Mar-a-Lago since January 2017. and has made multiple visits to other Trump properties since taking office as well.

Keep this in mind the next time you hear Republicans bitching about how much this Russian investigation is costing.

“So … Manafort who once worked for that bastion of upstanding impeccable legal rightness, Ronald Reagan, didn’t do anything wrong but Trump wouldn’t have hired him anyway because the FBI was secretly “doing a number on him” but Trump DID hire Manafort because it was somehow the Obama Administration’s Justice Department’s responsibility to vet Manafort for employment by the Trump Campaign and brief Trump himself personally and because they didn’t do that Trump, who hires only the best people, was unaware that Manafort was such a shitbag even though he actually wasn’t and besides Manafort only worked for Trump for a short time late in the campaign anyway which is totally fine.
    I have that right?

Shorter Version: The buck stops pretty much anywhere except at Trump’s desk.”

““I think it would be outrageous,” Bharara told Bash. “I think if the president decided he was going to pardon himself, I think that’s almost self-executing impeachment. Whether or not there’s a minor legal argument that some law professor somewhere in a legal journal can make, that’s not what the framers could have intended.”

“The second thing is, when Rudy Giuliani says… the president is not contemplating [pardoning himself],” “I have no faith in that whatsoever.””

Trump only weighs 239 pounds? I’m sure that’s 239 pounds – on his right side!

    Gag me with a spoon.

LOL first we had the metaphor of going down the escalator for his presidency, now we have the visual of him “climbing” out the of sewage that is his administration.
