Donald Trump Jr. shared a doctored image that makes his father’s Gallup presidential approval rating look 10 points higher than it actually is — surprising even people who have otherwise become numb to factual distortions from Trump’s inner circle.

Trump Jr. did not acknowledge countless requests to correct the obviously manipulated image after he posted it to Instagram late Wednesday. It was deleted Friday afternoon, by which time tens of thousands of people had seen, shared or endorsed his father’s bogus 50 percent approval rating.

Oh, that’s just pathetic.

Here is how the actual poll appeared on CNN.

I guess this is more of that “alternative news” that Kellyanne Conway warned us about.

“he holds “up a mirror to society, ever hopeful that we’ll eventually open our eyes.” But in “BlacKkKlansman,” Lee is intentional about not just showing the atrocities of the hooded, cross-burning men in the Ku Klux Klan in Colorado Springs, or of the former KKK Grand Wizard David Duke, or of the current president of the United States. Lee also demonstrates — critically — historically and presently, white women’s investment in upholding white supremacy.” “Connie’s character also connects the current work of right wing pundits and political enablers like Tomi Lahren, Laura Ingraham, Ann Coulter and Sarah Huckabee Sanders, along with the more fringe female voices in the alt right, who continue to traffic in racist tropes and profit from the criminalization and scapegoating of black and brown people.”
“”Though the men’s Klan was larger, the women’s KKK was better at public relations, and left an indelible mark on the organization by cloaking their white supremacist mission behind a facade of social welfare  ”
“”Let’s stop telling lies and teaching young people bullshit. The United States of America’s foundation is genocide of native people and slavery!” Lee told Time Magazine. “That’s the foundation —the very fiber.” But he adds, “This film is about the world we live in” NOW.”

“”We have watched in one generation where homosexuality was once criminalized to now we see the criminalization of Christianity.”
‘In one generation you and I have witnessed this country sliding from a nation who once shared a MORAL vision based on Judeo-Christian ethic to a nation floundering in MORAL decay. In one generation we have watched our nation who once believed in lifelong marriages to the same spouse to a divorce rate now well over 50 percent. We have watched in one generation where homosexuality was once criminalized to now we see the criminalization of Christianity.
And I could go on and on with the entertainment, with the education, with the life i$$ue.”

Trump’s tariffs boost rebuilding costs for wildfire victims

By GEOFF MULVIHILL and JONATHAN J. COOPER – The Associated Pres
    s
SANTA ROSA, Calif. (AP) The import tariffs imposed by President Donald Trump are boosting the cost of building a home by thousands of dollars, and that’s adding to the challenges of people trying to rebuild from California’s wildfire and other disasters.
The CEO of the California Building Industry Association said tariffs on imported lumber and other construction materials could increase the cost of building a typical home by $20,000.

Other factors also are at work, such as a shortage of construction workers. But the tariffs are entirely the result of a government policy change.
Trump has been imposing tariffs on a range of goods from countries that he says were not treating the U.S. fairly.

Rising construction prices hit hardest on people who are seeking to rebuild but whose homeowners insurance policies have caps that are too low to cover the entire cost.
