Donald Trump is greeted with “F**k you” while visiting the Capitol.

Seems appropriate considering what is happening in the country right now.

Courtesy of The Hill:

The president’s entourage was reportedly en route to House Speaker Paul Ryan’s (R-Wis.) office in the Capitol when the heckler, who has not yet been identified, shouted the profane remark from the opposite side of the Capitol rotunda.

According to an NBC News reporter, the woman who yelled the remark was a congressional intern.

The incident came as the Trump administration faces an outpouring of criticism from Republicans and Democrats for its “zero tolerance” immigration policy.

I read on Twitter yesterday that they were trying to track this young woman down.

I assume to give her a medal or something.

I am not typically a fan of hecklers, but in light of this administration’s policies, I think that this should be the standard greeting for this orange-tinted tyrant.

    Today is World Refugee Day.

If you’ve been fortunate enough to have been born in America, imagine for a moment if circumstance had placed you somewhere else. Imagine if you’d been born in a country where you grew up fearing for your life, and eventually the lives of your children. A place where you finally found yourself so desperate to flee persecution, violence, and suffering that you’d be willing to travel thousands of miles under cover of darkness, enduring dangerous conditions, propelled forward by that very human impulse to create for our kids a better life.

That’s the reality for so many of the families whose plights we see and heart-rending cries we hear. And to watch those families broken apart in real time puts to us a very simple question: are we a nation that accepts the cruelty of ripping children from their parents’ arms, or are we a nation that values families, and works to keep them together? Do we look away, or do we choose to see something of ourselves and our children?
Our ability to imagine ourselves in the shoes of others, to say “there but for the grace of God go I,” is part of what makes us human. And to find a way to welcome the refugee and the immigrant – to be big enough and wise enough to uphold our laws and honor our values at the same time – is part of what makes us American. After all, almost all of us were strangers once, too. Whether our families crossed the Atlantic, the Pacific, or the Rio Grande, we’re only here because this country welcomed them in, and taught them that to be an American is about something more than what we look like, how our last names sound, or the way we worship. To be an American is to have a shared commitment to an ideal – that all of us are created equal, and all of us deserve the chance to become something better.

That’s the legacy our parents and grandparents and generations before created for us, and it’s something we have to protect for the generations to come. But we have to do more than say “this isn’t who we are.” We have to prove it – through our policies, our laws, our actions, and our votes.

That was Melania. She gets a verbal fling in anytime she can.

    • Anonymous June 20, 2018 at 12:17 pm

Oh, SHE notified the Secret Service over Peter Fonda’s comment.
All well and good with “the children,” Melania, until it’s aimed at yours, ISN’T it?

      • Anonymous June 20, 2018 at 12:35 pm

yea, too bad those refugee mothers don’t have the same privilege when their children were kidnapped.

Also read she didn’t spend little donnie’s birthday with him, she went to NYC for “work”.

First, what “work” ? helping refugee children “be best” in their cages? I never heard a shopping spree called work before !!!!
Second, I thought the LIE was she couldn’t fly because of her huggee operation.

        • Anonymous June 20, 2018 at 1:49 pm

Her “work” is as flotus. The most inept EVER.

Mr. Sicko is at it again, now since they didn’t keep track of the children, good luck reuniting them with their parents, are they going to put them in a football stadium and tell them go find you kids?

Trump brags about making people ‘happy’ as he signs order reuniting migrant families he tore apart

As President Donald Trump signed an executive order purportedly ending the separation of thousands of children from their parents, he gushed that the measure would resolve the current border crisis.

“You’re gonna have a lot of happy people!” the President exclaimed.

As reporters shouted questions he repeated his mantra about building a wall at the border.

“We’ll get the wall, we’ll get the wall done,” he told reporters.

Asked how Ivanka and Melania Trump felt about the crisis at the border, he replied that they were deeply troubled by it.

“Anybody with a heart would feel very strongly about it. At the same time, we don’t want people coming into the country illegally. This takes care of the problem.”

Immigration experts cited concerns that the order might result in kids being put in adult facilities or whole families being housed in tent cities.

Yeah, 12:21 PM, they were shipped out so fast, now just how DO they reunite them?
Proper processing/identification of who belongs to whom I highly doubt!
My GOD this man is a monster beyond belief.

besides the fact that his EI doesn’t address those already in custody, in fact there are already two lawsuits filed about it.

Here’s the loophole:” It is also the policy of this Administration to maintain family unity, including by detaining alien families together where appropriate and consistent with law and available resources”

So all they have to do is say it isn’t appropriate or there are no resources and wala, back to baby prisons.

Let’s not start celebrating yet, it appears this is another trump con

Trump Signs Executive Order Which Will Not End Zero Tolerance Policy

Donald Trump signed an Executive Order which does not end the Zero Tolerance policy, does not change the revocation of domestic abuse or fears of gangs as grounds for asylum, does not change in any way much of anything except they will apparently not separate families but instead detain them together.

There is also no indication that this order will pertain to the children already taken from their fathers and mothers.

      Josh Marshall’s analysis seems right:

The problem is that that violates a 1997 consent decree saying that you can’t detain/imprison children for more than 20 days (technically what’s currently happening isn’t detention). It straight up violates that order. So what will almost inevitably happen is that a court will step in, say you can’t do that and then Trump will announce that the judge is forcing him to keep separating families.
And as Chris Hayes notes in the video above, there’s no way to know how this will be implemented. Assuming that it will apply to the children already separated, they are unsure how they will even reunite them, given the complete lack of tracking and matching of parents to children.

Baslcally, Trump bought himself a tiny sliver of breathing space and little more. He’s losing this battle, and if he thinks he’ll win the midterms with it, he may be in for a terrible surprise.

I am NOT celebrating July 4th this year in any way, shape or form! I will NOT participate in the SHAME!. I will NOT participate in the evil lie. Take your flags and shove them where the sun doesn’t shine! Take your fireworks and shove them up a white supremacist’s butt. SHAME! SHAME! SHAME! And if you object to this post, then, please, unfriend me!

    • Beaglemom June 20, 2018 at 3:33 pm

I feel the same way. Until the Trump administration is nothing but a bad memory, I will not celebrate the Fourth of July.
PS. I also think that Trump deserved the epithet tossed his way in the Capitol Building.

    • Canadian Observer June 21, 2018 at 4:29 am

The 4th. of July used to be such a joyous and proud day for Americans. With the outrageous behaviour Trump has shown in representing the citizens of the United States on the world stage and with all the damage he and his administration has inflicted on the country, how any thinking person could celebrate the deterioration of a great nation is beyond me. I suspect you won’t be alone in not participating in any of the celebrations, Margaret.

    • Anonymous June 21, 2018 at 5:53 pm

Actually, I think the better approach would be to have a really nice July 4th, why let trump ruin it for you. We can still be proud Americans, but ones that are not proud of the idiot in the WH elected by the minority and the russians.

  7. Jerry Critter June 20, 2018 at 4:41 pm

Trump deserves to be greeted with a chorus of “FUCK YOU” every time he sticks his head outside!

  8. Bob June 20, 2018 at 4:48 pm

Question … since this guy has such a messed up ego and has caved … where will he retaliate? Cause you know he will have to in order to “win.”
