Of course, it comes from two anti-immigration Norwegians.

U.S. President Donald Trump was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize for his work in reaching an agreement to work toward de-nuclearization of the Korean peninsula.

The U.S leader was nominated by two members of Norway’s governing Progress Party, according to state broadcaster NRK. The deadline for this year’s prize passed in January, so this nomination would make him eligible for next year. It is unclear whether he was nominated for this year’s prize.

Nominations for the world’s most coveted prize are open to lawmakers, academics and researchers from around the world. The Nobel Committee in Oslo typically receives hundreds of nominations each year, and past candidates have also included Russian President Vladimir Putin and Former Cuban leader Fidel Castro. A record 330 people were nominated this year.

While the Norwegian Nobel committee is appointed by parliament, it’s decisions are independent. Trump was nominated by two right-wing members of Norway’s Progress Party, which advocates for limited immigration and lower taxes.

Apparently, the two men were super impressed with Trump’s North Korean denuclearization deal, which does not really do anything to ensure denuclearization.

They were actually probably more impressed that Trump is also a Right Winger who hates immigrants and just used the North Korea thing as an excuse to give their man-crush a cool trophy.

I really do not think that Trump has a snowball’s chance in hell of winning the Nobel Peace Prize which will probably lead him to declaring war on Norway, or at the very least imposing sanctions on Oslo.

A ase of everyone gets a trophy. Even Norway has right wing nuts with a voice. He will never win, but you know he will have his ego stroked ad nauseum just by the nomination. In fact, he will likely lie and say he won, repeat the lie often enough and all the stupid people in our Idiocracy will believe him.

1.) Trump says he wants “his people” to treat him the same way North Koreans treat dictator Kim Jong-un. “He speaks and his people sit up in attention. I want my people to do the same.”
2.) Trump says he’s kissing up to Kim because he doesn’t want him to nuke the United States. When asked by a reporter why he praised Kim so much despite his atrocious human rights record, Trump said, “I don’t want to see a nuclear weapon destroy you and your family.”
7.) Blames Obama for “giving away” CRIMEa — and refuses to blame Russian President Vladimir Putin for illegally annexing it.”
      Ps. He got one^

Who are his people, his family or his servants?

Because he doesn’t own the American people.

If he likes NK so much, why doesn’t he defect ? Someone should tell him if he goes to live in NK,Mueller can’t get him.

Let them nominate the traitor,it will be so much better with en he loses!

I think nominations for the a Nobel have to be submitted by February so they can nominate him all they want but it is too late for a nomination this year.

” “If this is a poker analogy: Putin has a pair of twos, we have a full house and we are folding our cards.”

The United States has a $20 trillion economy and the combined might of the G7 is nearly $40 trillion while Russia’s economy is worth about $1.7 trillion, smaller than Italy’s.”

““He’s the head of the country — and he’s the strong head, don’t let anyone think anything different,” Trump said during the interview. “He speaks and his people sit up in attention. I want MY people to do the same.””

    this tOO>’Inspector General report’
“The end result was wrong,” Trump told “Fox & Friends’” Steve Doocy. “There was total bias. It was a pretty good report and then I say that the IG blew it at the very end with that statement.””Trump accused Comey of being the “ringleader at this den of thieves” at the FBI.”

    • anonymous June 15, 2018 at 6:19 am

“rump referred to FBI leadership as “scum,” denied rumors his wife Melania underwent facelift surgery, and suggested former FBI chief James Comey should go to prison.

“Wow, the highest rated (by far) morning show, @foxandfriends, is on the Front Lawn of the White House,” rump tweeted an hour before his TV appearance. (F&F is actually just the highest-rated cable morning show: ABC, CBS, and NBC’s network morning broadcasts draw much higher numbers.) “Maybe I’ll have to take an unannounced trip down to see them?””rump emphasized that dictator Kim simply “wants to make his country great,” a reference to the president’s own “Make America Great Again” slogan.
‘“I don’t know if it’s politically correct… [but we] really did hit it off,” ‘
““From what you’ve seen so far: Should James Comey be locked up?”
“Certainly, they just seem like very criminal acts to me,” rump replied. “What he did was criminal, a terrible thing to the people.””“I have the [support of the] FBI. You go into the FBI and take a poll of the real FBI—not the scum on top, not Comey and that group of people who were total thieves,” rump then pivoted to praise his new secretary of state and his “fantastic” relationship with North Korea. At another point, he clarified, “I bet if you took a poll in the FBI, I would win that poll by more than anybody’s ever won a poll—but the top people were horrible.”

Later in the chat, rump claimed that he gave Kim “a very direct number” so the dictator can “call me if he has any difficulties.”
“He also repeated the impossible claim that “fathers” of Korean War veterans asked him to help return their sons’ remains. Any parents of men who served in the Korean War would now be well into their 100s.”

      • Anonymous June 15, 2018 at 10:30 am

My father served in the korean “war” and he is still alive and not well into the 100s

        • CorningNY June 15, 2018 at 12:06 pm

The FATHERS of people who served in the war would be in their 100s, not the veteran him/herself. That’s why it would be impossible for the fathers of veterans to ask Trump to help return their remains, Another Trump lie.

        • anon June 15, 2018 at 2:07 pm

Uh yay, but are HIS parents alive?? How old are they? Trump said he has been approached by hundreds of Parents of those who served in the Korean war.

        • Anonymous in Chicago June 15, 2018 at 2:42 pm

If your grandfather is still alive, God bless him.

Trump claimed that during the Presidential campaign in 2016, he was repeatedly asked by the PARENTS of Korean War soldiers/veterans, to bring their sons bodies home from Korea. That would be a request from your grandfather, thus the reference that Korean War soldiers parents would be over 100. Trump made it sound like he was asked this question numerous times. Trump just makes shit up.

THIS:”After arriving in Singapore on Sunday, an antsy and bored Trump urged his aides to demand that the meeting with Kim be pushed up by a day — to Monday — and had to be talked out of altering the long-planned and carefully negotiated summit date on the fly, according to two people familiar with preparations for the event.” “We’re here now,” the president said, according to the people. “Why can’t we just do it?” “, what ultimately convinced Trump to stick to the original schedule was the fact that he would get more media attention.

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders told Trump that he “might sacrifice wall-to-wall television coverage of his summit if he abruptly moved the long-planned date to Monday in Singapore, which would be Sunday night in the United States.””threw a tantrum and put the whole meeting in jeopardy – all because he had a day to spare.” G-6+nONE.

Don’t they have cartoons in Singapore ?they could have plopped him in front of the tv.

‘ Trump said. “I want my people to do the same.”

Trump later told reporters he was joking.
    { facetiousness}

“I’m kidding. You don’t understand sarcasm,”’

‘a $harp and often $atirical or ironic utterance designed to CUT or GIVE PAIN’
“the use of irony to mock or convey contempt.”

“I’m kidding. You don’t understand sarcasm,”’
I am sure he wasn’t kidding and it wasn’t sarcasm, trump doesn’t use sarcasm.

No way this is going to get past the committee. Not unless they have a lot of right wing Nazi isolationists on the Nobel Committee and I kinda think they don’t. Trump will do plenty between now and next January to make sure he’s undermined any hope of a Nobel Prize. Norwegians just aren’t that gullible and stupid, despite these two politicians.

Kim will do something in the interrim to show that Trump didn’t accomplish squat and that will be that.

The deaths of Palestinians over the embassy move and the immigration issue here in the U.S. pretty much undermines any claim Trump might have of altruistic intentions of world peace.
