Documentary maker talks about evidence that Donald Trump is connected to Russian mob.

A documentary filmmaker appeared on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” on Thursday to talk about what he’s found while researching “Active Measures,” his new movie about Russian connections with President Donald Trump.

Specifically, filmmaker Jack Bryan told the program that Trump didn’t really start getting involved with members of the Russian mob until around 2002, when he claims they started “entering the Trump Organization.”

Bryan then claimed that Trump had to resort to taking Russian money after a “series of bankruptcies” at Trump properties throughout the 1990s that made it harder for him to raise capital from large American banks.

The Russian mob saw this, Bryan said, and “made their move.”

As I am writing this and watching this interview on Morning Joe, I am struck by the fact that this is exactly the kind of thing that conservatives saw on Fox News concerning Hillary Clinton.

They had book authors, pundits, and “investigators” on constantly who talked about Hillary’s “criminal” behaviors, her shady connections to supposed pedophiles, and various other tabloid-like bits of false information that created a false narrative of who the Democratic candiate was in order to please their viewers and drum up support for Trump.

Now anybody who is really paying attention to legitimate news outlets is likely to see that this documentary is very much in line with what we have already heard about Trump’s business dealings and connections to Russia.

However, the unfortunate truth is that Trump supporters view these mainstream media outlets in exactly the same way that we view Fox News or Alex Jones, and that makes it all but impossible to convince anybody that this is not simply one partisan filmaker attacking their guy, just like their partisan filmakers attacked our people.

At this point, the lack of a consistent fact-based perspective has leveled the playing field making it impossible to argue that the information presented by one side is any more trustworthy than the lies and propaganda presented by the other side.

We no longer have a Walter Cronkite to stand firmly above the partisan fray and declare what is truth and what is just nonsense.

Which, by the way, has been the conservative plan since Richard Nixon was forced from office by the “liberal” press.

Ultimately this is why we have a Donald Trump as our president.

“Republican and Democratic U.S. senators introduced legislation on Thursday to impose stiff new sanctions on Russia, the latest effort by lawmakers to punish Moscow over interference in U.S. elections and its activities in Syria and Ukraine.

The bill includes restrictions on new Russian sovereign debt transactions, energy and oil projects and Russian uranium imports, and new sanctions on Russian political figures and oligarchs.”
““The current sanctions regime has failed to deter Russia from meddling in the upcoming 2018 midterm elections,” said Republican Senator Lindsey Graham”

Donald Trump goes on a fact-finding visit to Israel. While he is on a tour of Jerusalem he suffers a heart attack and dies.

The undertaker tells the American diplomats accompanying him, “You can have him shipped home for $50,000, or you can bury him here, in the Holy Land for just $100.”

The American diplomats go into a corner to discuss for a few minutes.

They return with their answer to the undertaker and tell him they want Donald Trump shipped home.

The undertaker is puzzled and asks, “Why would you spend $50,000 to ship him home, when it would be wonderful to be buried here and you would spend only $100?”

The American diplomats reply, “Long ago a man died here, was buried here, and three days later he rose from the dead……. We just can’t take the risk.”

The third wife told a reporter during the campaign that she likes to look at fashion magazines (although I think she said “read”) and do Pilates. I cannot imagine that occupying more than two hours a day, max. So she may spend the rest of the day looking at herself in the mirror. Not at all like Michelle Obama – or any other First Lady in our history. I think that even Nancy Reagan was busier than the third wife.
