Defying efforts to quash their 1st Amendment rights two Miami Dolphin football player take knee during National Anthem.

The football field is not the plantation. Somebody should probably educate team owners about this simple fact.

Courtesy of the Sun-Sentinel:

Kenny Stills knew he’d be continuing his anthem protest in an attempt to create awareness for social justice and racial equality, but the Miami Dolphins receiver didn’t know he’d have company.

Albert Wilson, a newcomer to the team, joined Stills in his third year of this protests, kneeling with him during the playing of the national anthem before Thursday night’s 26-24 preseason loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The two receivers hadn’t talked about their anthem plans beforehand, but there they were hugging each other when it was over.

“Being a part of this protest hasn’t been easy. I thought I’d be doing it by myself and today I had an angel out there,” said Stills after the game.

Defensive end Robert Quinn stood and raised his right fist during the anthem, as he did last season with the Los Angeles Rams, and Quinn said he’ll continue doing so all season.

“It’s a free country and I’m just holding my fist up for unity,” said Quinn, who the Dolphins traded for this offseason. “This is about creating awareness. I’ve been doing this for a long time now. … This isn’t a responsibility. It’s something I’m passionate about.”

Quinn said he’ll continue to raise his fist during the anthem until “there’s heaven on earth” and the world shares more “peace, love and happiness.”

So if you are thinking, “Oh this is definitely going to rile up Tangerine Hitler,” well you are so right.

Condescending POS!

Now I, of course, cannot speak for the Miami players but I would imagine that they would be both “happy’ and “cool” if there were real progress made in reducing the number of police shootings in this country and that their 1st Amendment rights were respected.

Personally, I am proud to live in a country where its citizens feel free to protest inhumanity and disregard for human rights.

That is what makes America, America.

“UNPRECEDENTED LOCKDOWN” Guns will be prohibited from the demonstration area.

Larry Hogan, the Republican governor of neighboring Maryland, said on Friday that “hate has no place in our society,” and that he had directed state agencies to work with their counterparts in Washington and Virginia to ensure the safety of all citizens.

“As we face this invasion of vile and perverted ideology infesting our region, we stand united in our conviction that a diverse and inclusive Maryland is a stronger Maryland,””In Charlottesville, officials have announced an unprecedented lockdown of the bustling downtown district. Vehicles are prohibited, and pedestrians will be allowed in at only two checkpoints, where police will confiscate contraband.

Prohibited items include everything from metal pipes and swords to fireworks and skateboards.

Guns, however, can still be legally carried. After last year’s violence, the city asked the state legislature to ban firearms from major public events, but the bill failed to advance.”

“Neiwert’s book,“Alt-America: The Rise of the Radical Right in the Age of Trump,” traces the evolution of what we now call the alt-right to its roots in the ‘90s-era militia movement and the conspiracy theorists and cranks that have been steadily building their following for decades.

Neiwert told SalonTV’s Amanda Marcotte who these alt-righters are, and why Trump has been what they call an “emperor god” for them. “The alt-right really is a mix of old and new,” Neiwert explained. “It’s got all the elements of white nationalism and white supremacism and that sort of thing in it, as well as nativism and Ku Klux Klan neo-confederacy.”

“The only real difference is that, unlike the old far right, this new far right is geared towards recruiting young people,” he continued. “They’re trying to recruit young white men between ages 16 and 30, really. That’s their target audience.””

“Record numbers of women are running — and winning. Clinton’s loss in 2016 no doubt helped pave the way”

” when she found out she was going to lose, “They were never going to let me be president.” And while many people uncharitably bashed Clinton for this, many ordinary women could relate — no matter how hard you worked or how talented you are, men will always just be handed the trophy anyway, even if they are lazy, incurious, barely literate grifters like Donald Trump.”

Sarah Sanders Blows A Gasket as Omarosa Profits Off Of the Corrupt Trump White House

In response to questions about Omarosa’s Book, Press Sec. Sarah Sanders blasted Omarosa for trying to make a profit off of working in a White House known for corruption, making a profit off of being there, and using taxpayer money for private travel and anything else they can squeeze out of the job.

…Yeah, wringing this White House and its associates for cash is what the Trump regime is all about, from the top down.

Of course Omarosa used Trump. This is the kind of person he attracts, because this is the kind of person he is.

As for Sanders claiming that her book is based on falsehoods, that remains to be seen, but that is rich coming from the woman who lies daily for the President.

“Approximately eight children are shot each day by guns that have been improperly stored, typically found in American homes. That’s over 50 bleeding young bodies a week, due solely to human error. The statistics are baffling and heartbreaking but fortunately, they can be changed by just a few simple shifts in behavior by gun-owning adults. Such is the basis for the new #EndFamilyFire campaign, launched this week by the Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence, with help from the Ad Council and myriad other partners fighting against gun violence and for increased gun safety.” “seed the term “FAMILY FIRE,” the teams behind the initiative have reached out to editorial boards and reporters who cover gun violence, asking them to use the term when reporting on stories dealing with gun tragedies primarily linked to weapons not safely stored in the home.”

As DefCon Begins, Child Hackers Ready to Crack US Voting Systems (Because Adult Hackers Find It Just Too Easy)
“These websites are so easy to hack we couldn’t give them to adult hackers—they’d be laughed off the stage”

At the DEF CON hacker conference, which officially kicked off on Thursday, kids as young as 8 will target replicas of election results reporting sites—because it would just be too easy for adult hackers to do it.

It’s part of a competition taking place Friday and Saturday at the gathering’s Voting Village—which organizers rolled out for the first time last year—where “the entire voting infrastructure” will go under hackers’ scrutiny.

At this year’s Voting Village, 8- to 16-year-old hackers will try to exploit the resource media rely on for election results as they come in.

“Kids will hack into replicas of the Secretary of State election results websites for thirteen Presidential Battleground States, manipulating vote tallies and election results,” organizers explain.

According to Jake Braun, a former White House liaison for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, who’s also co-founder of the Voting Village and executive director of the University of Chicago Cyber Policy Initiative, it would be a “waste of time” to show that the election results sites could be penetrated by older experts.

“These websites are so easy to hack we couldn’t give them to adult hackers—they’d be laughed off the stage,” Braun told ABC News. “They thought hacking a voter website was interesting 20 years ago. We had to give it to kids to actually make it challenging.”

As Voting Village laid out in a pair of tweets, the goal of the competition is threefold:

Watch, there’s some big corruption issue about to break…

Head of wildlife agency departing Trump administration

A member of the pro-hunting group Safari Club International, Sheehan is seen as the “driving force” behind the Trump administration’s decisions to remove protected animals from the Endangered Species list, and to allow elephant trophy imports.

He also is responsible for dismantling Obama-era environmental protections that banned the use of certain pesticides in National Wildlife Refuges. Those pesticides “contribute to killing wild bees and other pollinating insects crucial to the refuge ecosystem,” according to the Independent.

In a statement explaining why the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service decided to allow the use of dangerous pesticides in some 50 wildlife refuges, Sheehan had cited the needs of hunters who shoot geese and ducks.

During Sheehan’s decision making process to roll back the bans on importing so called “big game” trophies, including those of African lions and elephants, the senior attorney at the Center for Biological Diversity noted an unusually close partnership between Sheehan and hunting groups.

The 2017 tax cuts were fiscally disastrous

…It is not hard to figure out why the debt is mushrooming: Congress shrunk revenue while spending is expanding. CBO outlines the consequences of this massive buildup of debt: “Reducing national saving and income in the long term; Increasing the government’s interest costs, putting more pressure on the rest of the budget; Limiting lawmakers’ ability to respond to unforeseen events; and Increasing the likelihood of a fiscal crisis — a situation in which the interest rate on federal debt rises abruptly, dramatically increasing the cost of government borrowing.”

Let’s remember Republicans promised — swore up and down — that the cuts would pay for themselves. This was categorically false, obviously so at the time. Sens. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), Susan Collins (R-Maine) and others who made this ludicrous assertion should be held accountable — and voted out of office.

“We’ve known he’s a racist since at least 1989, when he tried to get the Central Park Five killed — executed for a crime they did not commit,” he argued. “And maybe before that, when he wouldn’t rent any of his properties to black people.”

“The President of the United States is a white nationalist, is a white supremacist,” Smith concluded. “That is who he is.”

“And so in seeing the NFL players be insubordinate and not deferential to a white supremacist notion of what country and fealty to country should be, he is calling for them to bend a knee to him, to say to them that they need to recognize their place, to not step out of line, to entertain us, to be the black bodies that entertain us,” he continued.

“These are just the held beliefs of the President of the United States,” he added.

I grew up black in the South under Jim Crow. If there were a time machine, and Donald Trump could be sent back to the South as a black male, he wouldn’t last one week. I’d make sure when I sent him back, that he could remember once being a white male in America. After that experience, he’d probably have a much better understanding of why some of these players are kneeling due to the injustice baked into our judicial system in regard to blacks and some of our other citizens in America. I’m a lifelong fan of Rod Serling and his “Twilight Zone” series, and oh, boy, sometimes I wish some of the things featured in his TW series were actually possible.
