CNN reporter was banned from attending White House event yesterday for asking questions deemed “inappropriate.”

Yeah, how dare those uppity reporters do their jobs!

Courtesy of WaPo:

CNN’s Kaitlan Collins was barred from a press event for reasons that don’t jibe with a free press. “I was blocked from attending an open press event here at the White House, because the White House did not like the questions I posed to President Trump earlier in the day during an event in the Oval Office with the president of the European Commission [Jean-Claude Juncker],” said Collins in discussing the situation with Blitzer on CNN’s air.

Here’s the transcript of the questions that Collins placed before the president:

COLLINS: Did Michael Cohen betray you, Mr. President?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Thank you everybody.

COLLINS: Mr. President did Michael Cohen betray you?

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: We’re done, we’re done.

COLLINS: Mr. President are you worried about what Michael Cohen is going to say to persecutors?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Let’s keep going.

COLLINS: Are you worried about what is on the other tapes, Mr. President?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Keep going. Thank you everybody.

TRUMP: Thank you very much.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Keep going. Thank you everybody. Let’s go. Come on guys. Thank you very much.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Let’s go. We’re done, we’re gone. Let’s go.

COLLINS: Why has Vladimir Putin not accepted your invitation, Mr. President?

Those were the questions deemed too “inappropriate,” and which got this reporter banned from another Q and A later in the day.

Essentially EVERY news outlet is coming out to defend Collins and CNN in response to this unprecedented attempt to undermine the 1st Amendment.

Including Trump’s own propaganda outlet.

Yeah, I don’t ever want to hear a conservative use the term “snowflake” again when talking about a liberal.

Not when their president is this thin-skinned.

“They Want Trump’s Liquor License Yanked—and They Just Might WIN
Seven District of Columbia residents noticed that D.C. law says you have to be ‘of good character’ to have a liquor license. They want Trump’s taken away. And they might succeed.”
“The Trump International Hotel D.C.’s liquor license, which Trump continues to hold personally, despite having purportedly stepped back from Trump Organization business dealings.”

“According to Joan Goldfrank, a retired magistrate judge of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia; Henry H. Kennedy, Jr., an inactive senior U.S. District Court judge for the District of Columbia; Rev. William Lamar IV, the senior pastor at the Metropolitan African Methodist Episcopal Church in Washington, D.C.; Rev. Jennifer Butler, the founding executive director of Faith in Public Life and the former chair of the White House Council on Faith and Neighborhood Partnerships; Rev. Dr. Timothy Tee Boddie, a Baptist preacher; Rabbi Jack Moline, a Conservative Jewish rabbi; and Rabbi Aaron Potek, an Orthodox Jewish rabbi, all residents of D.C., the Trump hotel’s liquor license should be revoked.

That is because Trump remains the owner of the licensee—the Trump International—and D.C. law requires an owner to be “of good character.” The complainants argue that Trump having been accused of sexual assault by at least 16 women, his foundation continuing to be dogged by allegations of impropriety, his failure to pay contractors money owed, his maintenance of relationships with alleged criminals, and his attitudes toward minority groups and regarding race relations collectively mean he falls short of the legal “good character” standard.” “If you think this sounds crazy, get this: The District of Columbia Alcohol Beverage Control Board just might wind up agreeing.

Former board member Mafara Hobson is siding with the complainants and urging “an immediate investigation and subsequent hearing to determine if the hotel is in compliance and worthy of the privilege to hold a liquor license in the nation’s capital.” That requested investigation is currently ongoing, meaning this isn’t just a random request filed and sitting in an inbox somewhere, gathering dust. Trump’s license could indeed be pulled, something that would no doubt irk him greatly, and cause major financial issues for the hotel.”
” Trump is famously boastful of his wealth and business success, despite four bankruptcies; alcohol sales form a solid financial foundation for hotels and restaurants. It’s easy to imagine that the loss of the liquor license could seriously damage the financial health of the Trump International, despite the hotel’s popularity with lobbyists, insiders and foreign governments trying to curry favor with the Trump administration.”

“if the complaint does result in Trump’s license being yanked, the complainants expect to see it replicated elsewhere—and Trump should probably prepare for that. In the initial application filed to obtain the liquor license, Trump said he owned, controlled or
“was associated” with 19 further businesses that held liquor licenses nationwide, including a bevy associated with his golf courses. Some of those are said to be in locations where standards meet or exceed those of D.C.’s “good character” requirement, potentially putting them at risk for the same sort of license-jeopardizing complaints.”

““We stand in strong solidarity with CNN for the right to full access for our journalists as part of a free and unfettered press,” Fox News president Jay Wallace said in a statement after CNN’s White House reporter Kaitlin Collins was banished from a Rose Garden press conference.” $O>”Lou Dobbs, as one of Fox’s biggest stars, apparently didn’t get that message. Or he did and just didn’t care for it.” ““It’s about time there were consequences for disrespectful behavior in the White House,” ““I guess my question would be, ‘Who the hell are you?’” “The president does insist on respect.” “Several people familiar told The Daily Beast earlier this year that Trump enjoys the Fox Business host so much that he has dialed Dobbs into White House meetings to seek advice on policy.”

“Fox has often explained away the contradictions between its hard-news operation and its right-wing primetime stars by trotting out the age-old claim that commentators are entitled to their opinions—cold, hard facts be damned.”

“The attorney general has come to understand that he could have used the opportunity to teach the high schoolers about the concept of due process.”
“Asked about the incident during a press availability on Thursday, Sessions said, “Well, I met with a group of enthusiastic high-school students, and they enthusiastically broke into that chant.”

“I perhaps should have taken a moment to advise them of the fact of things I mentioned today,” the country’s top law enforcement official added, “that you’re presumed innocent until cases are made.””
“Is there no such thing any longer as Due Process?””

“During that recording, Cohen tells Trump that he’s “spoken with Allen Weisselberg” about how to set up a limited liability corporation (LLC) that could be used to funnel money to the National Enquirer as part of a “catch-and-kill” operation to effectively silence former playmate Karen Mcdougall.”

‘It had to be very simple’: Europeans used ‘colorful cue cards’ to explain trade to Trump

Specifically, the Journal’s sources say that EU representatives made use of “colorful cue cards” that they thought would help keep the president’s attention during meetings. Each card contained what WSJ describes as “simplified explainers” that “had at most three figures about a specific topic, such as trade in cars or standards for medical devices.”

One European official speaking anonymously to WSJ reporters says that they knew they’d have to dumb things down compared to typical meetings they had with world leaders given the president’s penchant for getting distracted during meetings and presentations.

“We knew this wasn’t an academic seminar,” the official says. “It had to be very simple.”

How utterly embarrassing for this country!

“23 percent of the public say they’d support the U.S. deciding to declare war on Iran, while the majority, 53 percent, oppose the idea. Just 9 percent would strongly support declaring war, while 37 percent are strongly opposed.”
“Voters who backed Hillary Clinton in the last election are the most vehemently against the idea, with 82 percent opposed and just 6 percent in favor; non-voters are also opposed, 48 percent to 20 percent. ”

‘The HuffPost/YouGov poll consisted of 1,000 completed interviews conducted July 24-25 among U.S. adults using a sample selected from YouGov’s opt-in online panel to match the demographics and other characteristics of the adult U.S. population.

HuffPost has teamed up with YouGov to conduct daily opinion polls. You can learn more about this project and take part in YouGov’s nationally representative opinion polling. More details on the polls’ methodology are available here.’

Why has no other reporter followed up to Katie Couric’s newspaper question to Palin? Many have asked about that interview. But no one has followed up with the same question .

Christ almighty, its been nearly 10 years to the day.

I was reading somewhere that April Ryan, who freelances for CNN, reported that the decision to bar Ms. Collins from future White House scrums was made by fat donald himself! This was in response to Melanoma watching CNN on AF 1, returning from the Helstinky “summit” with puty-baby. Supposedly, the fat fuck threw a whiny-little-bitch tantrum, because he decreed that all TV’s on AF 1 and the WH MUST be tuned to faux, to stroke his fat narcissistic ego. I wonder how much make-up she put on afterwards to hide the bruises??
