Canada has retaliated against US steel and aluminum tariffs by slapping its own penalties on American exports.
The Canadian government confirmed Sunday that it has imposed tariffs on US exports worth 16.6 billion Canadian dollars ($12.5 billion).

More than 40 US steel products attract tariffs of 25%. A tax of 10% has been levied on over 80 other American items including toffee, maple syrup, coffee beans and strawberry jam.

The response from Canada is designed to be proportional, with the new taxes being based on the amount of steel and aluminum shipped last year from Canada to the United States.

US steel tariffs, which went into effect on June 1, are expected to be particularly painful for Canada. It was the largest exporter of steel to the United States by value last year, according to Wood Mackenzie.

Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong Un are his buddies, but for some reason, Trump sees our western allies as the enemy.

Or perhaps it’s that somebody who pulls his strings sees them as the enemy?

Yeah, I’ve said it before. Trudeau is done. He is weak and young and plays to all the idealistic crowd.

He will not run again, assuming he doesn’t lose his government before then.

Not what I’ve seen on the Canadian news. What was helmet head Steve Harper doing in the US?

Good for Justin, he is not weak, he is standing up to a for his country again a bully!!!

I saw a partial clip that trump is bragging the US steel industry is booming. only in his mind.

Spouting hatred against the Prime Minister might make you feel better but it will never bring back your hero Harper. Canada doesn’t need a Trump a** kisser right now. Luckily, your opinion is in the minority as most thinking Canadians welcome a leader who puts his country first and is not kowtowing to the orange bully. Suck it up.

Spouting hatred? Where is the spouted hatred? I don’t hate the guy. But he is one and done. This is just reality.

“No more joint defense agreement with Trump.

Cohen declined to answer if Trump knew about Trump Tower meeting in advance

Cohen changed his tune and made clear his loyalty is to his family, not Trump.

      Tick tock”

“This is Michael Cohen trying to send a message to the president that he wants the president to pay his legal bills or he’s going to FLIP,” Avenatti said.

“You know, he’s playing games with the American people,” “If he has information that’s damaging to this president — and I know for a FACT that he does — then he should come forward and state it and disclose it now. He doesn’t have to wait for anything. He doesn’t have to wait for charges to be issued. He could do the right thing now.” ” Avenatti noted, Cohen is “playing games by giving these off-camera interviews like you saw today.””

“rump “proposed that they get rid of all tariffs and drop all barriers and have really great trade and they refused that. And escalating tariffs against the United States does nothing to help Canada.””

Just heard on NPR that Canadians are banding together to buy Canadian and shin US products.

If Mexico does the same Trump will be in deep shit.

Add the tariffs from the EU and it will be obvious even to the Deplorables standing in the unemployment line that Trump fucked up.
