California toddler finds gun, shoots gun, dies by gun.

Another senseless death to add to the thousands and thousands of senseless deaths that happen each year.

Courtesy of USA Today:

A 2-year-old boy accidentally shot himself in the head Saturday, and died, police said.

The toddler’s parents were not home during the shooting in Fresno, California, but two adults were at the house, Fresno Police Department’s Rob Beck told ABC30. The Fresno Bee reports those adults were the father’s fiancee and a friend.

When officers arrived Saturday afternoon, the toddler was still breathing, but despite “intense life-saving efforts,” doctors were unable to save him, police told Central Valley TV stations.

It wasn’t immediately clear who owns the firearm and why the child had it. The child was in a bedroom when he shot himself with the gun, ABC30 reports.

If your method of self-defense places the lives of babies at risk, perhaps you should seriously rethink its effectiveness.

After all isn’t life perilous enough without introducing instruments of death into the home?

If only that toddler had had a gun to defend himself against that gun…..oh, wait.

Head shot, huh? Other organs intact? I hope this poor neglected child’s parents donated his heart, liver, lungs and both kidneys so others could live. Please let some good have come from his wasted life.

Hopefully the gun owner will be charged with some serious felony. It is not sufficient to say, “They lost a child (or whoever), they suffered enough.” Let them think about this while spending 20 years in a prison.

Agree. You can’t fix stupid, but you should be able to make the irresponsible parents pay (in a court ordered fom of punishment, preferably prison) for the unnecessary loss of a life.

It’s like the Tide pods thing. Does ANYONE even pay attention enough to keep things up from young kids?
They climb! It’s what they’re supposed to do!
