“After all what better way to get the last laugh than to get George and I to say nice things about him to a national audience?

I love that line.

As you listen to this man speak you get the opportunity to close your eyes and remember that it was not long ago that our country’s leader was a man of great humor, honesty, and intelligence.

So very different to what we are experiencing today.

I miss President Obama. I think everyone in that cathedral did too.

I thought McCain’s funeral was lovely and I didn’t really like him very much but, given what’s in the White House now, he seems more appealing. At least McCain cared about the country. Yesterday the music was gorgeous and the sunshine pouring in through the windows must have cheered many hearts after a long, long rainy summer. Both the Annapolis Glee Club and the National Cathedral Choir sang wonderful music and Renee Fleming’s rendition of “Danny Boy” was so touching. It was a morning when Washington showed the world that it still can be worthy of being a part of the global, human community.

That was probably my favorite line also. Too bad McCain couldn’t muzzle his psycho running mate’s hate filled rantings.

It appears that it was Miss Lindsey that invited Ivanka and Jared after asking Cindy because they offered their condolences to him. What in the hell is going on with him? What about condolences to the McCain family. They should have stayed home, now the trump supporters are complaining that they didn’t get VIP seats. Are you kidding me, after all the crap trump pulled in just the past few days.

Trump ally furious over treatment of Ivanka and Jared at McCain memorial

Allies of Donald Trump are angry at how speakers at a memorial for the late Sen. John McCain made barely-veiled attacks on the president and how his daughter and her husband were treated when they attended, reports Politico.

On Saturday, Meghan McCain, daughter of the senator made multiple comments that were perceived to be critical of Trump, which infuriated some of his fans — but the anger goes beyond his base.

As Politico reports, “His friends and allies fumed. Trump had endured a week of criticism for his handling of McCain’s death, but the eulogy from the late senator’s daughter, Meghan, was the last straw, according to three people close to the White House.”

According to the report, one-time Trump aide Sam Nunberg was particularly incensed by how Ivanka Trump and her husband, Jared Kushner, were treated at the memorial where Trump’s father was pointedly not invited.

In particular, Nunberg was not pleased that the couple were not seated with the VIP’s.

“It was a very nice gesture by Jared and Ivanka to attend,” Sam Nunberg told Politico. “I find it contemptible that the McCain family couldn’t seat them in a better, more respectable section.”

The couple, whose appearance at the memorial was described by one insider as a “huge mistake,” were reportedly invited by Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) who sought the approval of the senator’s widow, Cindy McCain.

On Saturday, former McCain campaign manager Steve Schmidt criticised the couple for attending, saying, “It’s great to watch Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner hug Lindsey Graham, but the reality is that Jared and Ivanka are on the side of a movement that stands for everything that John McCain was against and opposed and fought against for his entire life.”

Contemptible is that they were there. Period. From what I saw, excepting a few Trumptards, they were given the cold shoulder as they should have been.

Lindsay Graham is a snake in the grass and an opportunist of the first order. He tagged along with McCain for years and years to get on the Sunday political shows; now he’s cozying up to Ivanka and little Jared. Disgusting.

__Trump ally furious over treatment of Ivan and Jared at McCain memorial

Trump allies are mad angry people. They will always find things to be mad about. Ivanka and Jared were there and there was no treatment of them.

Ivan was texting at times and may not have paid any attention to anything. It was to Trump’s benefit that his family made an appearance for him.
The eulogies were not about them. McCain’s love ones can express their emotions and thoughts honestly or anyway they want at the memorial or any service for him.

“In risking and enduring loss, McCain gave what no winner could. The ultimate test of VALUES, he reminded us, isn’t what you’re willing to kill for. It’s what you’re willing to die for.”
