Barack and Biden still best buds.

Former President Obama and former Vice President Joe Biden were photographed getting lunch together at a bakery in Washington, D.C., on Monday.

The two were spotted at the Dog Tag Bakery in Georgetown. The bakery is an owned and operated by Dog Tag Inc., a nonprofit organization that empowers veterans, military spouses and caregivers who were disabled during service to “discover personal and professional fulfillment in the civilian world,” according to its website.

“Look who stopped by Dog Tag Bakery for lunch today! Thank you Barack Obama and Joe Biden for supporting our mission of empowering veterans with service-connected disabilities, military spouses, and military caregivers!” the bakery said in a tweet along with a photo of Obama and Biden at the store’s counter.

I’m not going to lie, seeing these two together makes me happy all the way to my toes.

Perhaps the greatest political team in history, and seeing them together makes me almost think a Joe Biden run for the White House in 2020 may not be the dumbest of ideas.

I don’t think I have ever even had a dog as loyal to me as Biden is to Obama.

    • Beaglemom July 31, 2018 at 8:18 am

That’s a kind of creepy remark, Anon at 7:28 am, and I hope it wasn’t meant meanly or snark-ily. Both President Obama and Vice President Biden liked and respected one another before they worked together for the betterment of the country and I think it’s great that their friendship continues. I simply cannot imagine anyone being a friend to either Don the Con or Pence.

    • Anonymous July 31, 2018 at 11:19 am

Sour grapes, just because trump/pence are such criminals only looking out for themselves, doesn’t mean everyone is like them.

‘ “MENdocracy. As in, rule by liars.”

“You lie” “condoms don’t work” and “abortion causes cancer.” “nearly 40 percent of Americans still believed the Sarah Palin-supported lie about “death panels” being included in health care reform.”

‘“…by a two-to-one margin likely voters thought their taxes had gone up, when, for almost all of them, they had actually gone down. Republican politicians, and conservative commentators, told them Barack Obama was a tax-mad lunatic. They lied. The mainstream media did not do their job and correct them. The White House was too polite—”civil,” just like Obama promised—to say much. So people believed the lie.” “When one side breaks the social contract, and the other side makes a virtue of never calling them out on it, the liar always wins. When it becomes ‘uncivil’ to call out liars, lying becomes free.”

We’ve entered a bizzarro world in which calling out lies is considered rude”

“McCain acknowledged that Trump had dropped the ball when it comes to North Korea, especially in light of reports that Pyongyang may be continuing to produce intercontinental ballistic missiles.”
““That’s the No. 1 thing I was petrified of by the Obama administration,” she said. “The idea we could ever trust a country, with the people that scream, ‘Death to America!’ on the streets!”

Behar objected and argued that Obama, unlike Trump, had secured a multinational agreement with Iran that had viable enforcement mechanisms, whereas Trump had simply secured an informal joint statement in which North Korea made no specific commitments to any kind of time table for disarming or even a full declaration of its current nuclear capabilities.

“No one is trusting,” Behar said. “They were constantly monitoring it.” “Behar shot back that Trump was conducting in “name calling, not diplomacy.”

McCain kept insisting, however, that she is “against having any conversation with Iran, in any capacity whatsoever, while they’re screaming, ‘Death to Amreica!’”<$HE IS?WTF?

    • Anonymous July 31, 2018 at 11:23 am

Megan McCain is an idiot, she stated that she even though she doesn’t like trump, she calls Hillary, Crooked Hillary because she HATES Hillary.

Interesting that the moron uses the same language as a man who has continually said nasty things about her daddy and that must be ok, but Hillary who has said nothing about daddy is crooked.

I hope she leaves the show because everyday she starts in with her sanctimonious ” I am here to explain trump supporters to you” like she is some expert. They aren’t that hard to figure out and they are a minority of the population so why keep wasting our time.

      • Beaglemom July 31, 2018 at 1:38 pm

Megan McCain is a “journalist” who appears a lot on television because of her maiden name, not much more. She’s less a “journalist” and more a GOP political hack. I don’t think anyone can expect her ever to say anything remotely profound or serious about the state of this GOP-controlled country we now exist in. Best to ignore her as well as the likes of Sarah Palin.

I figure she is going to try and get his senate seat.

Speaking of which, it sounds like Franken is going to run again

        • ANON July 31, 2018 at 3:56 pm

‘“It was very gratifying. I put my heart in the job,” Franken explained. “I miss the whole job. I loved that job, I loved the job as Senator. It was very meaningful for me and bittersweet, I would like to still be there.”

Asked about a return to the public square, Franken didn’t rule it out.

“Well, see, if I say anything there you will put it in the story. I don’t know. I haven’t ruled it out, and I haven’t ruled it in,” ‘

OT? The alt-right has referred to their Republican Party enemies as “cuckservatives,”
““The Kuck Brothers (sic) better check themselves before they wreck themselves & get with the Donald Trump White House – punks,”
“‘Cuck’ is a concept borne out of insecurity: a fear that one is inadequate, sexually or otherwise, and that inadequacy will lead to the loss of the things that are important to him.”
“If one’s insults represent their own fears, those who call others a cuck do so in the desperate hope that shreds of their own masculine and racial prominence can be protected,”

Tinydjt”The globalist Koch Brothers, who have become a total joke in real Republican circles, are against Strong Borders and Powerful Trade. I never sought their support because I don’t need their money or bad ideas. They love my Tax & Regulation Cuts, Judicial picks & more. I made…..

“rump that he is wasting his time by campaigning to Republican women because “they’re gone.””
““It’s like my white board’s there and Trump is checking shit off,” Bannon crowed. “Trump is on the full MAGA agenda.”

Bannon argued that the 2018 midterm election is like 2016’s contest, except Trump is running against House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) instead of Hillary Clinton.

“She’s the Hillary,” he said. “She’s got some of the same tendencies!””“When you focus on impeachment, it’s a game changer,” he explained. “It’s an emotional issue that raises the stakes.”

But Bannon’s also had some bad news for Trump concerning Republican women voters.

“This is a ‘deplorable-plus electorate.’ What I mean is, it’s deplorables plus Reagan Democrats and guys who voted for Trump who vote never. You bring them out in an off year.”

    “The Republican college-educated woman is done,” Bannon added. “They’re gone. They were going anyway at some point in time. Trump triggers them. This is now the Trump movement.” {aka The Bannon Cannon}

KK”Kelly told White House staff on Monday that Trump had asked him to remain in the position and he agreed.”

    Raising Ms. President

“Women make up more than half of the American population and workforce. Yet, the United States only ranks 97th out of 190 countries when it comes to the number of women in elected office. According to research conducted by Jennifer Lawless, director of the Women & Politics Institute, and Richard Fox, political science department chair at Loyola Marymount University, women are less likely than men to run for office, and often consider themselves under-qualified to serve, despite their success in business and education.

In the documentary RAISING MS. PRESIDENT, filmmaker Kiley Lane explores why more women don’t run for office. Through interviews with elected officials, scholars, high school students and leaders of two non-profits dedicated to raising the next generation of female leaders, the program investigates where political ambition begins and why society should encourage more women to lead.”

“Our Supreme Court has now said, ‘unlimited money in politics.’ It seems like a violation of the principles of democracy. What are our thoughts on that?”
“the oldest living Democratic ex-president replied. “Now it’s just an oligarchy, with unlimited political bribery being the essence of getting the nominations for president or to elect the president. And the same thing applies to governors and U.S. senators and congress members.”

“So now we’ve just seen a complete subversion of our political system as a payoff to major contributors, who want and expect and sometimes get favors for themselves after the election’s over,” he lectured. “The incumbents, Democrats and Republicans, look upon this unlimited money as a great benefit to themselves.”

“Somebody’s who’s already in Congress has a lot more to sell to an avid contributor than somebody who’s just a challenger,” Carter warned.” In 2015>

So could President Biden tap Obama as VP?

    • Anon July 31, 2018 at 1:40 pm

JB could make him a Supreme court justice.

    • Anonymous July 31, 2018 at 3:42 pm

YES, however I think Barak has had enough personal attacks to last him a life time, so I doubt he would do it

…..However, the wording of the 22nd Amendment doesn’t literally say that no one can be President for more than two terms; only that no one can be elected President more than twice:

No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once.

Presumably this still leaves open the loophole (intended or not) that one who had already been elected twice could still serve as President again by attaining that office through other means — particularly, by being elected or appointed Vice-President (and thus becoming next in the line of presidential succession) when the sitting President dies, becomes incapacitated, or resigns.

Does Meghan McLame even have a college degree? Or one that wasn’t bought by mommy and presented on Xmas morn?
