Actor Seth Rogen turned down selfie with Paul Ryan and then lectured him in front of his children.

(Paul Ryan anecdote starts at the 3:50 mark)

Courtesy of Newsweek:

Seth Rogen told CBS late night host Stephen Colbert about his recent run-in with Speaker of the House Paul Ryan and his children.

“My whole body puckered, I tensed up, and I didn’t know what to do,” Rogen recounted to Colbert on Friday night’s show.

“And I turned around and Paul Ryan was walking towards me,” Rogen said. The two shook hands before Ryan asked for a photo with the star, and that’s where things went downhill Rogen told Colbert.

“I look over and his kids are standing right there expectantly, clearly fans of mine, and I said, ‘No way, man!’” Rogen said.

Rogen said that he also took the opportunity to scold the GOP lawmaker for his policies, even though he felt “conflicted” doing so in front of his children.

“Furthermore, I hate what you’re doing to the country at this moment and I’m counting the days until you no longer have one iota of the power that you currently have,” Rogen said he told Ryan.

Man, it is not a good week for Republicans out in the world is it?

Homeland Security Secretary Kirtstjen Nielson gets chased out of a Mexican food place and kept up all night by the cries of immigrant children, Sarah Huckabee Sanders gets ejected from a restaurant, and now Paul Ryan is shut down in front of his own kids.

And do you know what?

That is still only a small fraction of the pain and suffering they have inflicted on the American people, and potential immigrants wanting to come to our country.

So I do not feel even remotely bad for them.

Honestly if you think this is a good tactic for the Democratic Party, you are sadly mistaken.

    • Anonymous June 23, 2018 at 7:34 pm

What does this have to do with the Democratic Party, this is a celebrity that refused a selfIe because of HIS PRINCIPALS!!!!

      • anonymous June 23, 2018 at 8:20 pm

Dems need to kiss a lot of @$$ to stay in the game!

No bad mouthing deplorables or the president! It’s not like THIS president was born in Kenya or suspected of being a secret Muslim- he just like some strange now and then and copping a feel or two!

Better leave the gay hater bakers alone!

One more thing is dissing the people that want to build the wall. If the Chines did it and Hadrian did it why can’t Trump and his space cadet corp do it?

    • Anonymous June 23, 2018 at 8:37 pm

Excuse me. This has nothing to the Democratic Party. I do not care for anything celebrity as a rule; they’ve got enough ego and self importance to last themselves a lifetime and then some.

What they DO not have to do is pause for a pic with any Tom, Dick, or Harry that wants one. Lesson to the kiddies, Paul, Daddy is not the rock star that he tells you he is!

“Democratic party”? Don’t be so dense. This is one individual expressing himself. Sociopaths in power should be called out.

    • Anon June 24, 2018 at 3:49 am

Mistaken and sad. That is you. A clueless ninny.

Frankly, I’m a Democrat and I’d tell Paul Ryan what little I thought of him if I had the opportunity. Who wouldn’t? I’d try to be polite but Paul Ryan has been a disaster as a Speaker of the House and member of Congress ever since he was first elected. He is totally incapable of putting country before party. At this point, all he wants to do is end Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid and any other government program that helps ordinary people. And his whole purpose is to do those things so the very rich can become even richer. He’s a toadie for any Republican richer than he and he’s too much of a schmuck to stand up to the present administration. Bravo, Seth Rogen!

It would have even been funnier if Colbert asked if he even knows or could state even one of Paul Ryan’s policies….

There would have been a very funny dumb silence.

Rogan has had a few funny movies, he gets credit for that, but they are all basically the same kind of humor that is starting to get stale. One trick pony.
